I will admit that my husband was not the most help around the house before, but since he has been on medical leave for wrist surgery, he has just added to the mess instead of helping clean it. I know that he can't do a whole lot of chores with only one hand, but he could put dirty clothes in the washer, put clean ones in the dryer and dry clothes in a basket, so I can fold them later. And he most certainly could pick up the stuff around the living room. He hasn't done anything since this leave started at the end of Sept. He sleeps late everyday and watches hunting shows on TV all day long. I have been expecting him to watch our daughter 3-4 days out of the week, to save on daycare since he is only bringing in a percent of his normal pay, and all he does is complain about what a brat she was all day. Funny how I dont have that problem with her on my days off and neither does her sitter. He just seems to want to treat this as a vacation and do nothing. How do I get him to at least help?

I have just found out that I'm pregnant & am over the moon as my partner & I have been trying for a baby. We both work full time.Thinking ahead, I am starting to get concerned about when I have to take maternity leave as there will obviously be a big drop in income coming in to our household. Apart from the benefits I will be entitled to can anyone suggest some other ideas for earning an income from home. Also after I have my baby I will find it difficult to return to work part time as I will have to pay for child care which is expensive as I do not have a member of family living near who could take care of my baby for me. I do not like the idea of having to put my child in to creche anyway. Obviously when my child is old enough for school I can then get a job within the hours my child will be in school. But until then does anyone have any suggestions for earning a decent income? I don't want to rely on benefits as they are not a lot & I would like to be earning for myself. Please help

I'm addicted to the net and keep sneeking on when i can't sleep, often really late at night and then I end up lossing lots of sleep cause I loose track of what time it is and sometimes I have trouble getting up for school. My mum is pretty angrey about it and only wants me to use the net on sundays and to be able to trust that I'm doing as I'm told. But I just can't help myself, like I really want to do as she says, but I must be an addict, like its not sunday yet and this is my second go in secret. My mum wants me to chose my own punishment so we can both help solve my problem. Any suggestions?

i put him down for his sleep and he wriggles around abit until he falls asleep. The past few days he has been getting his legs stuck between the rails in the cot and cant move and he cries. Is there anything i can do to prevent it? He seems to do it heaps lately and it scares me that he will really hurt himself. It is a brand new cot with all safety regulations so this really shouldnt be happening..

Why do "full time mums" (personally I hate that phrase as I believe that ALL mothers are full time) think they are wonderwoman just for keeping their own house clean and bringing up their own kids?
Do they not realise that they are lucky to be in that situation and that most mothers who work would dearly love to be a stay at home parent?
I personally have a lot more respect for mums who have to work as well as bringing up their children and doing everything else and think that they are the ones who really deserve the praise.
If you are a "full time mum" and wish to have a go at me for my opinion, please state whether you have a partner who works or you are living off benefits.

I was 1 week late getting my period and was wondering if anyone knew if it could have been that I was sick when it was ovulation time, and maybe that set my whole cycle back a week?
I was sick for almost a whole week.
