Pregnancy & Parenting - 6 November 2006

i have an 8 month old son who sleeps from about 9:30 or 10 pm to about 7:30, 8 in the morning. he currently takes 3 naps, usually 45 minutes to an hour during the day and one shorter one, about 30 minutes, in the evening. does this schedule seem normal, or should i try to extend his naps?

my first pregnacy i had a misscarriage at three months or (11 weeks) into my pregnacy. iam a little chubby and i know ever woman is diffrent. but so you think because of my previous pregnacy that ill show sooner than last time. i just barely started to show when i was pregnant before! please any answer is appreciated thank you and please no rude comments!

on friday, at a school dance, this guy lets call him dillon, had his friend ask we to dance. i didnt really like him as more than a friend, but i mean hes cute. everyone says we look good together, but i dont really know him.
well at the dance, this girl (ill call her ellen) told him to dance with me. Then later, dillons friend said dillon wants to know if youll dance with him. and usaully dillon asks girls himself.
then at the next slow song, dillon came up to me and we started to dance. His friends kept pushing us closer until out stomachs were touching. it was kinda akward.
well then on monday, he completley ignored me ! what is his deal?!?! im so confused...

I have had so many issues with my son. I know other people do too. Where are they? They certainly aren't at story time at the library!
My son is really defiant, strong-willed, extremely curious, hyper, and smart. Great for him but tough for me!

runs and jumps like that, he also wants his mom to put make-up on him and says that he is a girl. He does have some learning problems such as just potty training and learning to talk.They are only trying to label him as the catch all ADD. Any advice?

We have been trying to get pregnant for several months now. I am 20 years old. I have an average 28 day cycle and I had my period on Oct. 21st. I know that I just ovulated a few days ago and we had sex that whole week. I usually get really sore breasts for a few days before my period. Right now my breasts are beginning to get really sore. This is strange because I shouldnt start my period for another couple of weeks. I know that sore breasts are a sign of pregnancy but is it too early? I am not stressing about this I just want to know if it is or not! Thank you!!!

I do not want this to sound demeaning to anyone who reads this but this baffles me!

There are so many young girls on this board who ask if they may be pregnant because they missed there period for the month or they are a few days late. This is all normal when your cycle is changing but yes, you may also be pregnant which brings me to my next question; what about protection? The spread of STD’s? I have an 8 year old daughter & I want to teach her to be safe & smart when the time comes. I understand a lot of young girls don’t want to talk to there parents about this stuff but wouldn’t one think that parents would sit with there kids & teach them about aids, & every other disease that’s out there today? I just feel so bad for these young girls who have sex at such a young age; 12 & 13 is way too young! Physically & emotionally…. Just my 2 cents I guess….

Lots of girls around my age start shaving down there.. but I don't want to shave it all off, but yet I do. I don 't knoe what to do, because my friends do shave but one of my friends doesn't and she says that its better not to shave but all of my other friends say that I should shave.. I am six months pregnant and I am just now beginning to barley show. Recently I have been having some minor cramping going on but not to bad. And this morning I had a little bit also and the I had not to be nasty to use the restroom really bad and it was runny like just water. Then it went away. I am going to my doctor this week just wondering what it could possibly be. I just have been feeling a little under the weather for the past few days. COuld it just be my unterus is strectching its throwing me outta wack. I am 135 now my pre pregnancy weight was 121 and I am 5'51/2.

ok...so i am 9 weeks pregnant with my 4th kid, and i am having the HUGGEST cramps EVER! ok...maybe not that big, its just I am having cramps and they hurt. and I was just wondering if I should e worried. b/c i have never had cramps this bad with any of my other kids...i usually don't have any at all... so should i be worried...or is this something i should just put a hot water bottle on and get over it?

my friend had sex with her boyfriend using withdrawal. then, she fears she's prego. she wakes up early (5am) to get to school but wants to sleep for a few minutes. she doesn't vomit in her first week. she usually gets fat easily even before her first sexual intercourse, and her stomach decreases a bit when she doesn't eat too much. she doesn't urinate frequently. her bowel movement hasn't changed. when she came back home from school, she had a mild headache since it was too hot outside.

OK here goes... headaches, moodswings, tired, week, nausious all a week before my period. My period started the 21st of Oct. It went for 8 days and was really light pink. Same week of my period I was very sensitive to everything, like I wanted to cry. When my period ended a week and a half ago I was getting cramps in calfs, abdomanal area (very low) extremely week, a lot of pressure, boobs aching and increased appetite. I had a blood preg. test done Fri. the 3rd and came back today negative. Over the weekend waiting for this my boobs got extremely sore like I needed a couple styrofoam cups to protect them from my shirt. I can't sleep on my belly (too much pressure) peeing a lot, very moody and sensitive and my temperature seems to have risen. Could my body be giving me a false pregnancy or maybe too soon to see on blood test even? I was told blood tests really accurate. Should I wait to see if I missed a period to retest again?
