Sometimes, it's not what you earn but what you spend. I quit work to stay with my kids, and not having to pay for daycare obviously helped. Also, I began garage saling instead of buying everything brand new. I began eating healthier at home---beans are cheaper than potato chips. Some income ideas: paper route (my sister did this and she made enough--good excercise if you don't get a rural route), dog sitting, dog walking, babysitting (yikes)

Hi,
if you wanna earn real money in a home based business, here's something where you can sign up for free as an affiliate and promote online as well as offline:
http://affiliate.allsat.com/?SESSID=37da5b69620e624d6e9f3f96189393cc&kbid=12482
For every new dish customer you refer you receive a whopping $110. They have a very dedicated affiliate support and you receive many free resources to get you kickstarted. No outlay here. Work with a real and reputable company.
Sell only 10 per month and you can buy yourself some nice dinners. ;-)
Best wishes
Mike
P.S. Yes, I already earned some money with them!
P.P.S. Using the internet you can actually do this from anywhere in the world.

Have a look at the Netmums website for ideas. I've been doing various things, evening waitressing, Avon representative etc. But I am currently doing the courses to become a childminder so I can earn some money whilst getting to stay at home spending time with my children.

Please Accept blessing for your intelligence in receiving money. Please go to the medical testing places and volunteer yourself for medical testing on say - maybe the infants brain - positronic scanning could make you the subject of whatever article - some money. Either way it would make a name fine christening present. Find a job. You could be a waitress. (learn to cook and do that as a job). It would be necessary to learn how to cook well for your new-born anyway. Child benefit could halp as well - go to the job centre - social services - government bureau and you will get maintenance.

After my son was born, I started substitue teaching. With that, you can decide when you go in, and when you don't want to. You don't get penalized for missing work, because it is up to you, and it is kind of easy making money. Depending on where you live, you get paid a certain amount for a full day, and about half of that for a half day. It worked for me. You will miss your litte one during the day, believe me! It gets better. Good luck, and congrats.

Childcare is a good idea, but you will need to be Ofstead registered. You might also consider a level 2 chilcare qualification.
You might consider evening/weekend work.
You might try a .com venture.
However, unless you are prepared to look at putting child into a nursery, you will be restricted.

Start saving up now. Put aside cash with each paycheck. Work at home jobs are far and few inbetween and most either are not worth it or are scams.
