It's all up to your baby if that's too much for her or not. If she is comfortable with every three hours there is not much you are going to be able to do because she is expecting to eat every 3 hours. If you would like to try to move if farther apart you should do so gradually like try 3 hours 15 min for a few days then 3and 1/2 hours. If you baby will take a little more food at a feeding that may help too. But you have to remember there stomachs are only so big and forcing them to eat more will only lead to problems and more spitting up. Hope this helps.

I am nursing my 9 week old exclusively, he was eating every 21/2-3hours at first now i see he is going for 21/2-4hrs. I think last night he went 6 hours during the night.
Formula feed babies usually will go longer with out food.

you are asking too much now is the time your baby needs feedings that close u dont want to take the chance of your baby being under weight it will get to where your baby will get to eat baby foods and this will slow down the bottles and space them out but until then its usually every 3 hours. my daughter is 6 months old and sleeps through the night now but she has her bottles every 3 to four hours if not then she has a meal and a bottle later. best of wishes to you.

it depends on how much formula she is drinking at each setting. You may need to give her a little more to keep her satisfied longer. You can also distract her when that 3 hour mark is coming around. Start playing with her and she will forget about being hungry for a while.

My daughter was 4 weeks premature and on a 3 hour eating schedule. Arround 6 weeks she was on a 4 hour schedule and eating oatmeal by 10 weeks and nursing offcourse. I found that giving her a passifier would hold her through for that extra hour to push her out to 4 hours. now she just sucks her thumb

right now those feedings are fine for the babies age. it's usually when they are trying to eat every hour that you want to stretch it out. FOr now let the baby eat you're doing great, and consult with your pediatrician!

BE CAREFUL! New Born's or small babies HAVE to eat every 2-4 hours! If they don't their blood sugar will drop causing all kinds of problems! Let your baby eat as often as possible while she is little!!!!!

i feed on demand but never later than 3 hrs. You could see how your baby does and if she gets hungry sooner than 4 hrs switch back till she is ready. trust your instinct and dont listen to what other ppl say because you know your baby and whats best for her and how she is doing.

she should be still every three hours at this point. don't stretch her feedings untill she is ready. she will let you know when she is ready for later feedings. don't rush her, just enjoy her, they don't stay that small and cute for long.
