Pregnancy & Parenting - 27 October 2006

I found out that I had a dermoid cyst back in June. My doctor tried to get it out through a laparoscopy surgery. But instead she found out that I only have my left ovary which is 5cm because of that cyst. She also saw that I have endometriosis. She told me my case is very complicated and she sent me to see another specialist. Can I can get pregnant with one ovary that has a dermoid cyst in it and endometriosis?
I want to have kids. Please help me!

I have already tried a teaspoon of karo syrup twice a day and also tried to give diluted prune juice one oz prune 2 oz water. We cannot change her formula for medical reasons so thats not an option. I can't breastfeed her because I take medication for my diabetes. I really don't like the idea of suppositores. I don't know what else to try. Any advice would help.

I was at the mall the other day with my mother, my baby niece (who I was taking care of for a few days), and my own baby. We had just finished shopping at Penny's and on our way to another store when my baby niece started crying because she was hungry. Mom suggested I breastfeed them both in the dressing room at Penny's but I pleaded with her to let me breastfeed them in the common area of the mall on one of the benches. (I've always wanted to breastfeed two babies in public so I could show everyone I was a good mommy and also to pretend I had twins. It was so precious!) Anyways, one of the ladies from church saw me and walked up and said "I didn't know you had twins". I told her I didn't and that the baby girl was my niece ;) She then told me that I shouldn't be breastfeeding any other baby but my own because of some DNA thing. I didn't understand it but it really hurt me and made me cry later. I don't understand why this could be bad? Was she making this up?

My son, who just turned 4 and is in preschool, has been acting crazy lately. He has poor impulse control and downright disobeys me. I am with him ALL DAY EVERY DAY, my husband works a lot, and I am about to pull my hair out. He is far from ADHD, but is clearly acting out, on purpose...out in public or when we are at someone's house, or when someone comes over. We do timeouts, and I do spank, when I need to, and I talk with him a lot about this.
If any one has ANY advice on how to handle him or what I should try, I am all ears.

I just wanted to know how much difference having an epidural makes vs. a natural birth. Does it make labor and birth a lot easier? Do you still feel the contractions during labor and the burning when pushing the baby out? Does it make it harder to push?

I did ask for an epidural, but no one was in a hurry to get me one and by the time they got around to it, it was too late as I was already 7cm. dialated.

Having a natural birth was incredible and I am glad that I got to have the experience, but quite frankly I am really scared of going through it again!

Either way all of the pain was MORE than worth my precious baby!

I was very angry at this... My supervisor came in the room and told me the child had to throw up more than 1 time before we could send them home... I am furious bc... when we get sick we get punished, but they wont send the sick children home.... this question is one of many many ones I neeeed to be asking... Today I have had discharge that is very similar to an egg white. It is only the 13th day of my cycle and my cyles are usually atleast 31 days, so I don't think I am ovulating, but from what I've read about your discharge, when it is the consistency of egg whites, you are ovulating. Also, I did an ovulation test today and the test line was very very faint? What is going on? Am I ovulating, or about to ovulate so soon in my cycle?

Well I went to the dr. today for other reasons and at the end they drew blood to run some test and I asked for them to do another test a pregency test since I was late.But I think I'm just late because they had to take me off of my Birth Control(for medical reasons) Well I wouldn't really mind If I was pregnant, I do want a baby. However right now I am on some medications for couple months to a year that would not be good for a baby if I was to become pregnant. Should I be worried If I am pregnant or not? And How long does it take for the dr. to call back for the results? Do they even call if it was negitive or when it was positive?And If I were pregnant (if you were in my shoes) (and no abortion is not an option) would you continue with the meds you are on which would be bad for the baby.....or stop taking it when it can mean your own life is in danger?

She my friend's husband cheated on her a few years back with a homewrecker named lindsey. She dosen't know about it. She knows about the affair but i recently found out the girls name and that was it. I think she shouldn't name her baby that for that reason and that cause it is not really a pretty name after all. i just had my second child, and my first was born only a year before my newest. my boobs went from a 36c before i was pregnant the first time to 38dd after the birth of my second child. i want my boobs to go back to a c cup without surgey. any suggestions?

I am hoping some experienced mothers can help me out on this question. I thought all crib bumper pads were 4 sided until I saw a 3 sided one tonight while searching the internet. Does anybody know the difference between the two?? Is a 3 sided bumper pad safe??

I have four month old twin boys and I spend my day up and down feeding her, the twins, changing them, cleaning, washing, a bit of time here and there on the internet, cooking, etc... She's 3 and she wants me to play with her, or go outside and when I do, (usually, not always) one of the twins cries, or needs to be fed, or needs a diaper change. SHe's mostly happy but sometimes she cries a little more and is just calling me. Do you think this could have long term effects on her or am I over reacting??

I've been in my kid's father for 6 yrs and he has a 7 yr old daughter from b4 me. And I've been in her life since she was a year. She calls me mom but she recently just started living with us full time and prior to living with us she lived with her aunt for 2 yrs(thats a diff story) But her aunt daddy's sis always whats the 7 yr old and neglects the 2 her brother and me have. And our children want to be with her to. And there better behaved then the 7 yr old as well. But she always asks if the 7yr old can stay the week end but never the younger ones. It upsets me because my children cry when she comes to get the older one. So I decided since she shows favoritiziam toward the older one I'm not going to put my children through any emotional pain because of her actions. Her father lets her go with her aunt. But has agreed not to let her see the younger ones. I dont feel she should be allowed to see any of them if she wants to act like that because the only ones getting hurt are my kids.
