I have a Dr. appointment this week, I'll be 18 weeks. I have an ultrasound scheduled for when I'm twenty weeks. I asked the Dr. if I could go ahead and get my ultrasound this week. But the chances of me finding out the sex aren't as good. How far along when you found out?

with my daughter i was 20 weeks when i found out i am now pregnant with my son and i found out he was a boy at 18 weeks most of the time you can easily find out the sex at 18 weeks unless the baby has its legs closed or is in a position where they cant see but that can easily happen at 20 weeks too i guess its easier to see at 20 weeks cuz your further along but its only a 2 week difference yes the baby would be bigger but its not that much of a difference go to the appointment and try it out if they cant tell which most likely they will be able to tell you they can always make you another appointment to come back and try again

Wait to 20 weeks when the baby is more developed. Plus, that is the ultrasound when they take many important measurements of your baby's anatomy. 18 weeks may be too soon for them to get the measurements they need. You know how fast the weeks go in pregnancy. You can wait two more.

when I had my ultrasound done at 18 weeks, I was told that it was too soon to tell . . . so I would suggest waiting until 20 weeks, but that's just my personal opinion . . . just be aware that it's only a guess, and it may or may not be an accurate guess . . the later you wait, the more accurate the "guess" will be . . .

I was 21 weeks with both of mine when i found out the sex. Good luck and if i was you i would wait till 20 weeks congrats on the baby.

I was 20 weeks. It's easier to tell when the baby is bigger. Also, even though they'll do an ultrasound, the baby might not cooperate. It all depends on how the baby is positioned if they can see. Good luck!

I was 20 weeks with both kids. I would wait until then. It's harder to determine a girl usually, and soimetimes, even, the vulva is swollen! Looks like a little pee pee, but isn't. Both times were right on for my kids tho, so I don't discourage it. And I SHOPPED! LOL as soon as I found out!

I'm a part of pregnancy weekly, and people on my forum are finding out now at 16-17 weeks... I think at 18 it would/should be fine.

My sonographer did an estimated guess at 18 weeks... saying that it's a girl :)
Try to remember that they arn't always accurate and can give you the wrong sex~
