that's your problem you not eating....you need to eat 6-10 small meals a day (nothing greasy, or spicy). 3 big meals a day is not enough. You will end up with BAD heartburn. Ice cream before bed will help soothe the burn. Also tums are safe and VERY effective.
this will help you out too

Eat frequent small meals and nothing within 2-3 hours of bedtime. Avoid foods you know are problems for you. Try sleeping with your head elevated--either extra pillows or blocks under the head end of the bed. Calcium-based antacids for heartburn (the extra calcium is good for the baby), eat some
ginger root in some palatable form for nausea. I wish you an easy labor and a healthy baby.

I'm in the same boat, due in February... I try to eat smaller portions more times a day... and try to watch what I eat. I know that spicier foods tend to give me heart burn and indegestion, so I TRY to avoid them as much as I can... though sometimes you can't argue with a midnight craving for stirfry!!!
Good Luck!!

I had a bleeding ulcer with my first which caused some fierce heartburn. My doc recommended a shot of skim milk every hour, it actually worked like a charm.
