It is normal for many women to have spotting or light bleeding early in pregnancy. It can be caused for many reasons such as sex or changes in hormones. I spotted with my second pregnancy through the first trimester. My doctor said my progesterone levels were lower than normal, but became normal by second trimester and my pregnancy was fine. If you are pregnant and are bleeding even if only slightly i would mention to your doctor. If it is associated with cramping, fever back or shoulder pain I would call the doctor immediately. It is possible though to have your period and still be pregnant .

Bleeding can also be a miscarriage. GO TO THE DOCTOR FOR ANY BLEEDING.
