Usually 6 weeks.....but wait and ask the doctor or keep your pants up until she's heal. And know cheats either. lol

It depends on how you feel. I had a c-section six weeks ago, and started having sex about a week after my lochia stopped, which was week 3. You may not bleed as much as a natural childbirth, but then again you may. Sex will hurt the first few times though, you need to take it easy. I even had an infected incision because the glue fell off too early and I am a smoker. Even though my doctor had three other patients who had infected incisions that week. But we were all smokers, so of course that was it... Note the sarcasm. Remember to use a condom after birth, it's the most fertile period you'll ever have. The lube helps too. I have had 3 c-sections myself, i had problems for a good few years after the last one. the scar tissue inside make the pain worse. so i would say at least 6-8 weeks, some women can take longer, it depends on how well your g/friend is healing. but remember she can get pregnant very fast after just having a baby, make sure u use something, you don't wont to be going though all this again in 40 weeks.

just take it easy, remember having a c section can hurt from below up.

You should be waiting at least 6 weeks. A c-section is major abdominal surgery and until after your 6 week post partum check she shouldn't be lifting anything heavier than the baby or driving or sex. Not everyone feels up to it then either. Any pain should be immediately reported to a GP as this can be a sign of infection or misplaced stitches

Typical man! A woman is told to wait for six weeks before sexual intercourse after a vaginal delivery, because sexual intercourse can introduce a fatal condition. Also, the womb needs time to readjust.
After a Caesarean section, it is usually advised to wait for six weeks and upwards: also for the comfort and safety of the new Mother.
Sorry mate, you'll just have to carry on with the hand shandies, etc., for a while.

I went through 48 hours of labor, got dilated to nine centimeters, and had a cesarean. I tried to have sex 3 months after the delivery, hurt so much I thought I was going to die. Again at 4 months, same pain...it took a full 6 months for me to be able to have intercourse, and it was still pretty painful. Sorry.

ok ok a natural birth takes 6 weeks so with cecerian (c-section) it can take up to 2 1/2 months. but it really depends on the woman. i had a friend who had a natural birth and in 2 weeks she was screwing again. and one who had a c-section and it took her 6 months to heal. just be gentle when you do try again.
