A friend of mine's daughter recently became pregnant. Well, my friend is forcing her daughter to get an abortion. I will admit, even I think she is too young to have a baby (15) but why not just get her to have the baby and give it up to someone who can't have a child, or adopt within the family!! I know if my daughter became preggo, I could never force her into an abortion!!! Besides my morals on the issue, I have heard stories about women who had abortions that had trouble carrying babies, and miscarried several times before they actually could have a baby! Why do people do this to their kids, and how can they justify it....???

He sleeps between 12 and 14 hours at night, then naps in the afternoon for 1 to 3 hours, and sometimes wants to take another nap early evening. Even when he is awake he looks tired. I am really getting worried, it has been like this for over a month now. I keep waiting for him to outgrow it. Should I be concerned?

I am 6 days late. My cycle is always regular, even when I'm stressed. I took a HPT (First Response) it was negative. I went to Planned Parenthood and waited 2 hours to take a PG test and just incase UTI test both negative. At first they said they found a high level of white blood cells, so I had to see the clinician immediately because I had some infection and they needed to take a closer look. She checked me out and said everything was normal. I sat in the waiting room for 2 hrs and was seen for a total of 10minutes. I don't feel like I'm going to get my period. I feel slight cramping in the middle of my lower abdominals and usually my period cramps are on both sides and severe. My nipples started to feel a bit tender a week or so ago and now my breasts are really sore. Usually all of my period symptoms excluding the cramping show up a week before my period, but I'm never nauseous. I've been feeling nauseated, gaining weight, and very tired even though I haven’t done anything. And the Dr. told me that even though it didn’t look like my period was coming as of that day it was for sure coming. She also said that in the 30 years of being a clinician she’s noticed that cycles are irregular in the month of October because of weather change, but I’ve looked and asked and haven’t found a reliable answer for that. I guess what I’m asking is, can the weather truly affect your cycle and should I just keep waiting. I don’t want to find out that I’m miscarrying or something else is terribly wrong with me. I have no medical insurance and Planned Parenthood seemed to just get hurry through my screening without answering why I needed to get checked if and then telling me I’m okay. I’ve been getting my period since I was 9 and I’ve been pregnant 7 times (2 ectopic, 4 miscarries, 1 abortion) and I was always able to find out when I was 4 weeks along. I don’t understand what is going on. Please someone give me some advice. I’m so confused and after my experience with Planned Parenthood yesterday…extremely depressed. I’m not even going to go to work today…again.

My doctor had told me that I am 25w 5days, but i had an ultrasound today and the ultrasound measured the baby to be much larger than what a 25w baby should be. I was looking on line to see about weight according to week and he is 2lbs 9oz which would make me more like 29-30weeks. Is it possible that I could be a month off?

I asked if anyone else thought it was wrong that family members of mine, who have a 9 month old, brought over not only a diaper bag & carseat, but also a feeding chair & a playpen to my home when invited over. Everyone said "You must not have children, otherwise you'd understand." Well just to clarify:

We had about 25+ people over, & nobody thinks it's a bit inconsiderate to set up a playpen in the middle of someone's living room where there is limited space and seating? That playpen took up a good portion of my living room. People were constantly walking around it & it took up a space of the room where we could have set up folding chairs for seating--but NO, they HAD to bring that damn thing.

The feeding chair took up a chair where someone else could have sat. But NO, they HAD to bring that and take up seating instead of just putting the kid on someones lap and feeding him or putting him in his carseat to feed him.

You still don't think it's a bit rude to bring those things?

I am 39 weeks pregnant and my due date is on monday. Me and my husband really want it to be monday or tuesday because its halloween and it would be really cool. I havent been walking or doing anything yet to get him here simply because I feel if I did he would probably already be here. So I am trying to keep him in my belly..lol. Should I start walking around sat. or sunday to get things going, so I could possibly have him on his due date (30th) or the 31st? At the point that I am now is I feel if I start walking and doing things it wont take much to get him here. I am 1cm dilated and fully effaced. The doc. said he is already down there and basically waiting to come out. So should I try sat. or sunday? I will probalby walk until I drop, then sex..lol of corse (may be the last time for a while.lol). I also heard walking up and down steps? Anyway, your opinions are appreciated, and if for some reason we cant get him here then I am going to be induced on Nov. 8th for my dad's bday :)

At our last doctor appointment, the doctor recommended taking the pacifier away before 15 months, since I am having another baby. My son will be 18 months old by the time the new baby is born and the doctor thinks he will have time to "forget" the binky and will not want to steal his baby brothers, if we wean him in time. I just don't know. He doesn't use the pacifier alot, only for sleeping and occasionally in the car, but he really loves it and wants it if he sees it during the day. He won't sleep without it, and that's why I hesitate to take it away. Any advice?

My Medical Insurance covers 90% of our medical bills related to giving birth. Since 10% is our responsibility, what is the average cost of giving birth without Insurance? Just curious.
