My daughter is asking me questions about race and skin color. She's 5 years old! I'm 31 and I dont think I became aware or cared of race until I was a teenager. So I'm trying to explain to her that people have all different skin types, even in the same family. Just trying to disregard skin color. Race is a bit tougher. Any ideas on how to teach her simply ( a way that a 5 year old can understand) that all people are different and the same, and we should treat and think of each other as a brotherhood of human kind? I'm not looking for politically correct either. I think that's garbage.

I have 7 children(girls - 15,10,5,2 years,boys - 12,7,2 years).I divorced their father before more than a year.I met a wonderful man and we married soon.Yesterday I found out I am pregnant.I'm 4 weeks far.I want to keep my baby and we hava enough money to have 8-th child but I'm not sure how that will affect on my other children.The 8-th child won't be from their father.My 15-year-old will be 16 when her brother/sister is born.I mean when the child is 14,she will be 30!Will this be a problem to the 8-th child either?

There are many errors seen on Y! questions about this topic, and I will include as additional text below due to space limits.

The Biblical text is clear on this issue. Homosexuality is a sin.

As many correctly state and bring up over and over, we are to love each other as God does us. HOWEVER, God also holds us ACCOUNTABLE even though He loves us. Although He loves all of us, He has stated that He will hold us accountable for our choices and deny those among us that disregard His will from entering Heaven. NOTE: He loves even those he denies entry to Heaven. If we are to be like God (ie Christian), then we can both love our children but hold them accountable and NOT accept their homosexual choices. Indeed, it is NOT Christian (Christ or God like) if we don't hold them accountable.

QUESTION:
Why are people so quick to grasp onto the "Love everyone as yourself or as God love us" part, but elect to exclude the ACCOUNTABILITY portion He requires from us?

Our dog is 10 years old, 37 lbs, mixed breed. She has never shown any signs of aggression towards toddlers or children. But she's never been exposed to a newborn baby either. She loves all people and even though she would be considered an older dog she does not look it or have any problems sometimes associated with older dogs. She is the best dog I have ever had.

i thought
4 weeks =1 months
8weeks = 2 months
12 weeks =3 months
16 weeks =4months
20 weeks =5 months
24 weeks =6months
28 weeks =7months
32 weeks =8months
36 weeks =9months
40 weeks =10months

so why do people say for instance that april that just asked how far along she was and she was 7 weeks+1day how is she in 2nd month approaching third month! its like im 27 weeks pregnant i say im nearly 7 months or what would everybody else class me as and please show me how YOU work it out please?
sorry i am just curious!!!
and before people say 'how old are you?' im old enough thank you i jst want to know what other peoples views are on it!

My mom is single....she and my father haven been divorced for years. She is always saying how she is tired of being single, needs a man in her life, yada yada yada. So, I was going to scan her picture in, create a profile, and put it on a dating website. My mom and I are pretty close, and as i've gotten older, our relationship has kind of been like that of sisters; even though she has no problem letting me know that she is STILL the mom. lol Do you think she'd appreciate me doing this for her, or should I ask her first? I am 13 weeks pregnant and just recently I have been feeling some pressure. Like I always need to use the restroom. I do not know if this is normal. She wants my boyfriend and her to get together once a week to teach their son the alphabets. Their son is 4 years old and I guess she wants to get him ready for school next year. We found this kind of odd because whenever his son comes over, we teach him things and read books to him. and when she has him, her and her other baby's dad teach him things. My son's dr. recommend adding 2 tsp per ounce of formula for his acid reflux condition. I am having a horrible time getting it to come out of the Playtex fast flow and the Avent fast flow nipples. What bottles/nipples work best when adding the cereal? Thanks

The oral medicine tasted like bubble gum. I've tasted it and so has my wife. Where to the point of having to hold her down and inject it into her mouth but the little stink spits most of it out. A shot is not an opition for this medicine. There is a pill but again she refuses to take it. Any real ideas? We need help!!

My kids are on fall break, and I want to do something fun with them tomorrow, and I am just out of ideas. It is going to be cold and rainy tomorrow, so anything outdoors is out. We have already exhausted all the museums in our area. Have any ideas that you could share with me?
