After a miscarriage, you can start trying to conceive again after your next period. We ask that you wait for your next period only in order to "date" the pregnancy. YOu probably will ovulate around 2 weeks following the start of your next period. If you had a miscarriage on November 10, you probably will get your next period in 2-4 weeks. Once you get your period, you can safely start trying to conceive. We used to tell patients to wait 3 montus, but have found that it does not make any difference. I doubt that you have a progeterone deficiency due to your two previous pregnancies. However, If you find that you have a cycle that is shorter than 21 days, you may have a luteal phase defect due to lower progesterone. If you think the miscarriage was due to low progesterone, you certainly can take a test. The value will be different at different times of the cycle. I would take it after mid-cycle.I would not take a pregesterone test until arter your next period. Your hormones are a bit out of wack at this time. Most of the time, we check the progesterone level once you have confirmed a pregnancy. Then, if it is low, you can start progesterone supplementation and take it up to 12 weeks gestational age. We do not recommend progesterone after 12 weeks gestation. Finally, you should realize that miscarriages occur in 15-20% of every pregnancy. There is nothing you can do to cause a miscarriage and there is nothing you can do to prevent a miscarriage. Progesterone supplementation is though to help but there are very few studies to prove that it prevents miscarriage. Good luck.

I think you should wait at least 6 months and the only reason I say that is because I think the the body needs to recover as well as the mother. I had a miscarriage and I waited awhile just because I was so afraid of it happening again and I was 16 weeks when I lost the baby so I guess it also depends on how far along you were when you miscarriaged but I would allow so time to emotionally and physically to get through it.

i had a miscarriage in oct.03 and i found out that i was pregnant in feb.04. you should usually wait till you have had 3-4 menstrual cycles. i wouldn't do it any sooner! you have to give your body time to heal from the miscarriage and it took me a good 2 months but i will never forget the baby i lost. it will always be in my heart

nicely quite it is extraordinarily lots risk-free to conceive after first era, they advise you to weight a minimum of three classes yet I lost my toddler at 6 weeks on Feb 6th and located i became pregnant returned end of march. My toddler boy became born dec 10th 7'13 and compleatly wholesome. as long as you emotionally sense you are able to conceive returned(i comprehend how devistating a miscarraige could nicely be) choose for it. You had a organic miscarraige so no longer something is incorrect with you. refill on ovulation attempt and get busy.. sturdy good fortune.

Well first you have to let your body recover. And then you need to emotionally recover also. I think it would take me a least 6 months. But that would be my personal choice.
