Your baby is fine. Typical Crawling is ± 9 - 10 months. Below is a VERY helpful Milestone Chart. It's nice because it shows you what (Most kids can do) (1/2 kids can do) and (A few kids can do) according to their age. Good Luck!

Hello, my daughter just turned 12 months, and I felt like she was behind with everything! She didn't learn to crawl until she was about 10 months old. She got her first tooth at 11 months, and she's still not close to walking. Babies just do stuff in their own time. I am a first time mom, and both my sister-in-laws and my best friend all had a baby the same year that I did, so I'm constantly comparing. If you're wanting to try and help him/her along, I would maybe try this: Use playmats that require them to lay on their belly and reach for toys at a distance. That builds up their arm muscles and thighs. Or, I would just put her bottle in front of her and physically help her to crawl. She started to push herself backwards, and within a few weeks, she was crawling. Good luck!

I have 5 year old twins and they didn't crawl until they were almost 1 year. They also didn't walk until 18 months. They are completely normal, and were born at a normal weight. All babies will develope differently and at their own pace. No need for concern yet. Just give your little one time. Your baby should be rolling over well and putting his knees up under his tummy to 'rock', which will turn into a crawl once he gets strong enough and coordinated. At this age your baby should be able to pull herself up onto furniture in a standing position. If your baby is doing these things, he's doing just fine and is right where he should be.

No don't worry my nephew just started crawling about a month ago and he just turned 9 months so your baby should start crawling soon and besides all babies devlope and different rates, aparently I didn't start crawling until I was about 9-10 months, and a girl I know her baby didn't even crawl he went straight to walking after squirming around on the floor on his belly for 8 months

Nope. As long as there aren't other things developementally that you are concerned about. My son didn't crawl until 8 months, then he walked at ten months. I have a friend who's baby crawled at 5 months and walked at 9 months! Then there is my nephew who is ten months and just started crawling... so every baby developes differently. Don't worry.

You really shouldnt be worried about this!!! It's too early for a baby to be crawling (yes, there are some super-achievers out there!) so stop thinking your child should. Check a few ?'s down and you'll see someone who is worried about their 10mth old isnt crawling. And the responses are: Dont worry.

Nope, don't sweat it. Some babies don't crawl ever. My son is 17 months old and just barely starting to walk. There is no set time for a child to do certain things. Talk to your pediatrician if you're worried, and they will give you the "normal" age range for a child to crawl. i was shocked when they said it's normal for a child not to walk until they are 18 months :)

Children develop different things at different rates. Don't worry too much about it. If your child is not working on crawling, it's probably working on something else.

My son did the same thing with talking. Hardly said a word, and then just started spouting whole sentances. It goes that way sometimes.

If you notice other related problems, THEN you can start to worry. But until then, don't sweat it.

Don't worry my oldest crawled after he walked. My youngest did the military crawl until just before he decided to walk then he crawled properly. All kids develop at thier own rate and & months is still young.

my son never crawled. He would scoot around on his butt and then when he was around 14 months he started walking. So don t worry! If you are concerned ask the doctor for a ref feral to a Physical Therapist for an evaluation
