I am a widow with 2 children 13 & 8. I started dating after my husband died and my children and my in-laws don't like this person. My kids have told me they want to live with other people because I want to move out of our house and start over with my children. This whole experience with my husbands death has been horrible and tramatic for me and my children. I am doing the best I can, loving them, supporting them, but no matter what happieness I seem to get with comfort from my male friend my kids won't give him a chance and turn on me. I'm afraid the inlaws will get nasty and try and take my kids since they are upset with me anyways from trying to start over.

I have been told my my in-laws and parents that owning your own business is a 24/7 job and we won't be able to spend as much time with out kids. My husband and I are trying to get into the childcare business.

Okay i found out two days ago that im pregnant, im still smoking (cigs) but i really want to quit and im trying to quit, i cut back alot and now i just want to kick the habbit for good, im only about 6 weeks pregnant. Will this all be okay, i cannot stop like NOW. But i will be smoke free by about 8 weeks TOPS. Did anyone smoke when they were pregnant....? did it harm anything? Please no rude answers.....it's tough enough to quit.

My daily routine every morning is brushing my teeth (of course!), flossing, and using ACT mouth rinse. Lately, I've been using the ACT with Reach. I noticed today that it has 11% alcohol. Is this going to be safe to use when pregnant? I'm TTC now, so want to know if I should definately go back to the non-alcohol version of ACT. Thanks!

I just started taking orthotrycycline 5 days ago and my boobs have been so sore is this normal i dont remember it doing this to me in the past i have also been peeing a lot and very moody

I have been off birth control for some time and just started taking it again, is this normal

My mum has decided she wants to come down to me a couple of days before the birth and stay till after. we have never been really close and she lives quite far away (150 miles). My cousin has just given birth and my auntie was there the whole time. This is why I think she wants to come down, so it looks good. She was down a few weeks ago for 4 days and exausted me completely, i was ready for a holiday when she left. I know i may sound a bit mean, she is my mum and I do love her, but I reallywanted a quiet 2 weeks after the birth for my partner and myself to bond with our first baby. I don't mind one day of visits by family from both sides, but thats it for 2 weeks. My question is do u think Im feeling this coz of mad pregnancy hormones and how do i tell my mum I would rather she didn't come down then? Should I just let her come down and live with it? I don't want to upset anyone and maybe im over reacting???

My last period was on sept. 28-oct 2. i ovulated on the 10 of october, i had sex that day and the next. I dont think am officially late yet, but i can smell things that never bothered me before, and i hate red powerades, and those we're my favorite. My breast are sore, but that could just be pms. should i wait longer to take a home pregnancy test?

I went to the dr yesterday and they took my blood to check my progesterone levels this month due to my taking Clomid. I asked if they could go ahead and do a pg test also on the same vial of blood and it came back today negative on the pg test and the other test will be tomorrow. Yesterday was my cycle day 24. I was just wondering if anyone ever had a blood test taken this early coming back negative and you really were pregnant? Thanks!

I am due on monday the 30th. I know that is just an estimate and I cant make him come that day and he will be here when ready..already heard all of it, but I want to at least try and get him to come. I have heard people say that you dont want to have a baby on a holiday or that close to one. I would understand christmas or something like that, but what is so bad about halloween. I mean at first he can have lots of halloween parites for his birthday, everyone can dress up and have fun. As he gets older if he doesnt want one its no big deal, we can have a normal party even if its a couple days earlier or later. I know 2 people who's birthday is on halloween and they love it, but I guess where its closer I hear other people saying that it wouldnt be a good thing. What do you think? I am open to any answers I just want to hear some of your opinions.

My 2yr old daughter enjoys watching my husband play Mortal Kombat, she cheers for him and even knows names of some of the characters, she knows it's fake but keep in mind this is the game you can watch players rip eachothers limbs off!! She also enjoys watching CSI and Dr. 90210 she's really smart and wants to know whats going on. So I was just wondering your alls opinion would you allow it?

I made the mistake of laughing when my 11mth old daughter found her nose with her index finger pretty much by accident (or so it looked) last week and now she thinks this is the greatest game. She wont stop putting her finger in her nostril now! I'll gently push her hand away, and she'll start giggling, then use the other hand. She even had a finger from each hand up her nostrils at the same time tonight during dinner. I wouldnt be so grossed out if she wasnt doing this at meal time - finger up her nose, then fingers grab peas, then fingers and peas go in her mouth. Yuck! I've already messed up by laughing, ideas on what to do now?
