I have heard that it is possible to still have a normal period even though you are pregnant. Some women spot during implantation in which they confuse with a period. Bleeding is actually quite common during the first trimester. I bled almost 3 weeks while pregnant. My advice is if it is already past the day that you would normally get your period and you think that you still may be pregnant even if you are bleeding, take a test, see a doctor, or go to a family planning clinic and they will test you.

The first way to be sure is to take a test. I find "First Response" the best of the ones out there, but your OB/GYN will have the absolute best. If it is positive, and you are still having bleeding GO TO THE DOCTOR! Any time there is bleeding more than a pinpoint or two, call your doctor as it may be a sign of something serious. Your doc should also be willing and able to answer any of your questions. Good luck and take care.

Take a pregnancy test at the doctors office. Make them use blood. I still had a period for 4 months when I was pregnant with my last child. Home pregnancy tests said I was NOT pregnant.

Some women get some version of a period (particularly in the beginning), but its usually pretty clear that it isn't a regular period because its lighter or last less time USUALLY. So if you're period seems like its regular old self you're most likely not pregnant.

It is rare but yes it is possible. When my mom was pregnant with me she had her cycle the entire 9 months. The only way to know if you are pregnant or not is to take a test, the best test to do is the blood test rather than a urine test because if you are pregnant and still having your cycle it will come up negative that is why they kept telling my mom she was not pregnant until they ran a blood test.

Yes, you can, I know a girl who went 9 months not knowing she was pregnant because she still got her period. The best way to know is to take a prenancy test, and if you still think you might be and that doesn't proove it, see a Doctor.

You need to call your doctor. NO you cannot have your period while youa re pregnant. You CAN bleed & mistake it as a period but that's not what it is, it's bleeding. CHances are it's your period but if you can't rest knowing then call your doc.

My boyfriend's mom said that she got her period during almost all of her pregnancies. She has 4 kids. She said it was like a light period, spotting. etc. Good luck.
