I am due on monday the 30th. I know that is just an estimate and I cant make him come that day and he will be here when ready..already heard all of it, but I want to at least try and get him to come. I have heard people say that you dont want to have a baby on a holiday or that close to one. I would understand christmas or something like that, but what is so bad about halloween. I mean at first he can have lots of halloween parites for his birthday, everyone can dress up and have fun. As he gets older if he doesnt want one its no big deal, we can have a normal party even if its a couple days earlier or later. I know 2 people who's birthday is on halloween and they love it, but I guess where its closer I hear other people saying that it wouldnt be a good thing. What do you think? I am open to any answers I just want to hear some of your opinions.

people are strange-they like to say negative things.when i got my engagement ring, all my friends said"thats gonna catch on something and pop off!"no congratulations, just negative!be glad ur having a baby, whenever its born !!! i know people born on halloween, thanksgiving and 4th of july.when i was little,i had fun on columbus day weekend, because i thought the holiday was somehow for me!!!the only unhappy holiday babies i know, are xmas kids whose parents celebrated xmas but downplayed the birthday aspect.anyway,i still like to think the 4th of july fireworks are for my husband!!!!!! have fun with ur halloween child !!!!!ps- i was supposed to be a halloween baby, but somehow i got here a couple weeks too early-i always wished it had been halloween, not columbus day,but oh well....

Halloween is a day that's no different than any other day. People waste too much time believing in superstitions. Monday October 30th, is just a time when the Earth will be at a certain position on it's orbit around the Sun and nothing more. Congratulations on the baby!

of course there is nothing wrong with it.

my mother in law has the day as her birthday (it could be a source of great jokes but it is a truly fun day)

just imagine how fun the parties would be. Kids are always in a great mood around the day. It is better than Christmas because many kids have things planned with extended family and it is too difficult to plan a party.

At Halloween- the focus is party and candy. Perfect for small children.

Of course you know that the day doesn't matter as much as the child- it will be perfect.

There is nothing bad, wrong or whatever about having a Halloween Baby. Just like having a St. Patty's Day baby is not luckier than any other baby. Ignore them, have Hallow-birthday-ween parties. My daughter was born 02/29/04.. it's just a date, people just say things because of the superstition attached to Halloween. And congratulations on your baby.

I don't think there is anything at all bad about a Halloween Baby. I think it would be so cool to have a halloween birthday & throwing the bday parties would be super fun!!

Well first off you can't decide when to pop the baby out. And the 31st is just another day. So what people cosider it a holiday. Dosen't mean your baby will come out with wings or fangs or cursed. And if you make it a positive to your child as they get older that there birthday is in fact on Halloween, then they will be proud of it. Congrads, btw. :)

With my daughter I went to the hospital Dec. 31st and was in the hospital over New Years. The only disadvantage of being in the hospital over a holiday is that hospitals can be understaffed but other then that there's no harm. Good luck.

i have not considered any undesirable ones, in spite of the indisputable fact that the Pirate topic is way overdone! i love Pirates of the Caribbean, too, they are marvelous videos, yet certainly now. each and every 0.33 human being on the city does not want to be a pirate for Halloween! that continually insects me, even as everyone clothing as an same component. we want a touch form!

I don't think it's something wrong about it...but maybe is because Halloween is the day of the dead? I don't know...it's just silly stuff, nothing to worry about

EDIT
The person that said that halloween is all day saints is wrong, halloween is the day of the dead, november 1st is all saints day.

Nothing wrong at all. Haloween is realisticly the pagan new year in old traditions. About the same as having your baby born on Dec 31 (or anyother day)
