Would you consider this name unisex? Yes, I have seen it spelled Renee, but I thought that looked more feminine. What do you think?

I have my middle name as Rene. I have gotten many compliments on the name!!! I am sure it would be a great name for a boy or a girl!!

Rene is a french masculine name. Not bad at all.

That said, the only Rene I know in the U.S. was the wife of the Texas Jewish Post owner, and pronounced it reenee.

Kids can be cruel...

I agree with a previous comment that a boy with the name Rene will most likely get picked on by other kids. How about Rex or Rhett? Good luck in the end he's your baby and you choose the name you like.

It's fine for a girl, but sorry...Rene for a boy's name is horrible. Way too feminine.

I think if you named a boy that he would be picked on. It's a nice name, but you know how kids are these days...
