My daily routine every morning is brushing my teeth (of course!), flossing, and using ACT mouth rinse. Lately, I've been using the ACT with Reach. I noticed today that it has 11% alcohol. Is this going to be safe to use when pregnant? I'm TTC now, so want to know if I should definately go back to the non-alcohol version of ACT. Thanks!

Although there are women who have a drink here or there during pregnancy without having anything awful (or obvious) happening, it would just make sense you use a non-alcohol rinse. It probably isn't the end of the world that you've used it until now, but why keep using it if there's an alternative

You're not drinking it, and the amount your body may get, isn't much; but why take chances.

If you're not yet pregnant it could be even more important to watch what you use or take in as far as chemicals and other substances go because that counts too.

As they all said, if you don't swallow it, not a problem.

Being that concerned, you might consider not smoking (if you do), not drinking, no caffeine, aspirin, or any other medications unless absolutely needed. i.e., antibiotics for a severe infection.

If you experience morning sickness, try ginger. A little fresh grated in a cup with a touch of brown sugar and hot water, or maybe some of the extra strength ginger ales out there, or candied ginger. The candied ginger can usually be found in the oriental section of you grocery store. In fact, ginger works very well for all forms of nausea, except maybe food poisoning.

Please read an anatomy and physiology book or google it or something. If you guzzle it, you've got problems. Even if a little trickled down your throat, your baby would be fine. You would be surprised how the human body protects that baby inside of you! Read up girl, you and your baby will be better for it.

Some questions really should be answered by a medical professional rather than STRANGERS ON THE INTERNET. What is wrong with you?

I wouldn't think it would be a problem. If it were it would say so on the product. Otherwise ask your doctor to be sure.
