He sleeps between 12 and 14 hours at night, then naps in the afternoon for 1 to 3 hours, and sometimes wants to take another nap early evening. Even when he is awake he looks tired. I am really getting worried, it has been like this for over a month now. I keep waiting for him to outgrow it. Should I be concerned?

Take him to the doc and see if they will test his iron levels. It could be anemia. If he is always tired you should get him checked out just in case. It could be a long growth spurt but that seems unlikely since it has lasted over a month. The doctor should be able to determine if further tests are needed.

Is your son very active during waking hours? My kids sleep 12 hours at night and 3 hour naps in the afternoon. They are very active kids. They don't look tired though. This may be a long growth spurt and remember, your little one is growing so fast and learning so much at this age. It could be in fact that he is just tired. Good luck to you.

If you are truely concerned call his pediatrition instead of asking on here. He MAY be going through some sort of growth spurt or he may just need to sleep alot. That really doesn't seem like to much for an 11 month old but it's been a while since I had one of those.

Have you gone to a doctor ? Each child is different, maybe he needs more sleep than others; maybe he needs some type of vitamins;
