I have a 3 year old and he gets up in the morning at 7 or 7:30. At 12:45 I put him down for a nap. He sleeps 1 1/2 hours and gets a snack when he wakes up. I put him in bed at about 8:45 and he is asleep by 9:30. You have to make him go to bed. You are the parent. Put him in his bed and everytime he gets up immediatly put him back and say very little. Also, get him up early. Don't let him sleep all morning. He will have a hard time adjusting to school if he is allowed to keep this up. If he will not go to bed at night, maybe you should just cut out his nap all together.

I have a 2 year old also and i got him on a tight schedule when he was still a baby. But i don't think it's too late to start now. You need to give him a set schedule. He needs a set bed time. If you make that 8:30 pm then you need to keep that bed time. And soon enough he will get use to it. I still have my son taking 2 taps in the day. We both love it. He wakes up at 8:00 and then goes back down at 11:00 then goes back down again at 3:00. It helps him sleep better through the night and were all happier. So, you should try that. So, crack down and make him go to bed at a desent hour. 8:30 is always good. And i like the name Amarys better!!
So, Good Luck!!!

Boy...my 2 year old went to bed around 8-9pm and was woken up each morning by 6:30am. He went to daycare and received 1 nap from 12-2:30pm. He was tired when we picked him up at 5pm, but we usually could keep him awake. If he wanted a nap, we only let it be for 1/2 hr and then to help wake him, we gave him a messy activity to do (finger paints, etc.) or a bath with lots of mommy & daddy time. Good Luck..it is a hard habit to break. Work in 15 min increments. Start putting him to bed 15 min earlier for a couple days, then go another 15min...etc.
Girl...I do not have a girl and never thought about girls names...but I kinda like Alejandra better.

Let him nap at 3pm but wake him an hour earlier, then put him to bed an hour earlier. Do this for a few days.
Move his nap an hour earlier, 2pm and wake him up after a couple of hours and put him to bed an hour earlier. Do this for a few days.
Now move his nap us another hour earlier, 1pm and wake him up after a couple of hours and put him to bed an hour earlier.
Continue in this way and be consistent and within a couple of weeks you should have him going to bed at 9:30 again instead of midnight.
It might help to have a bedtime routine in place - milk & snack, wash & brush teeth, story & prayers then bed.
Good Luck!
