Someone had suggested buying police products from http://www.tactical-world.com/index.php in my last question...but I was wondering if anyone else has bought from them before?... I am asking this because they have some pretty GOOD prices and I want to know if this is a legit website...any responses would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. im looking into buying some 5.11 HRT Boots and a tactical polo with the pen holder.

Today I sent a Chrsitmas package to my cousin in Iraq with an APO address. It weighed around 3-4 pounds, and I was not asked to fill out a customs form. Will the package still get to him alright, even though it has no customs form?

I was diagnosed with anxiety disorder and I was honorably discharged with an RE-4. Can this be correct? Shouldn't have I been discharged with another code? I have gone through therapy in the past year and I am okay now. I want to re-enlist and join the Coast Guard but I have the RE-4 code and I know it's impossible to re-enlist in any branch. How can I fight this?

As an Aussie, our Soldiers were always held among the toughest, bravest and the ones who could just grind it out longer than most, but the Gurkes must have been fearsome with their bowey knifes and having to draw blood every time they pulled their knifes out, or cut themselfes in substiture. They had the Japanese terrified of them ! We're they the most fearsome ?

Hi, I've been looking for recruiting websites for foreign militaries out of curiosity, and I noticed that America is the only one that has one for each branch. Is it just because we spend so much money on recruiting? In other countries, it seems like joining the military is seen as a last resort? I doubt, for example, that China has anything like the GI Bill.

I think we should, it would ensure our economic prosperity and PNG was an Australian territory, so why not help them eceonomically by becoming one with us ? Indonesia can lump it or leave it !

I'm currently serving in the USAF reserve right now as a mechanic, but I will be graduating college in two years. Do you think I should go into officer field? I will be getting a degree in nursing and I would love to help out with treating soldiers. I can only imagine how often I will get deployed, which is a good thing to me.

Anyway, should I do that (join the Nurse corps as an officer) or should I stay in my career field? Although I like my current career field and my coworkers are great, it's kind of boring and I wish I could have more of a direct impact.

Also, if I do join the Nurse corps, should I stay in the Air Force or look into another branch? I would love to help out in the battlefield by treating wounded soldiers.

Will boot camp change you a lot, into some overconfident asshole and think your better than everyone else. I'm joining to become a stronger a person, but don't want to loose the chilled out self that i am. I don't want to be those people who think they are better than everyone else because i believe we are all the same person no matter what. Will that belief change? I don't want to be someone who causes fights with everyone just because he thinks he is important and tough. I see myself just as a form protector of society. Will boot camp cause me to have bad overconfident qualities and change beliefs like, "we are all the same person"
I look at this we are all the same person, but sometimes we gotta do what we gotta to PROTECT our nation.

For the past three days I have seen post from we'll say young adults about joining the military. Most of them saying they can't wait to jump into the action and join the war. Don't get me wrong I'm glad they want to join. But not one of these kids know the truth about real combat. Does this ever get to any of you guys who have been in combat?

My girlfriend recently showed me a quote by General George Patton, saying “Give me an army of West Point graduates and I'll win a battle. Give me a handful of Texas Aggies, and I'll win the war.”
I checked his bio, and saw nothing indicating any particular ties to Texas A&M, so I'm wondering what his motivation was for making this statement. Anyone know the history behind this quote?

I have been permanently medically disqualified from active duty military enlistment. I was wondering how else I can serve in the military. I only have a highschool diploma and have completed 1 semester of college, I do not have the funds to complete more and I really want to join the military and I know that most civilian jobs require college degree. Anyone have any ideas how to serve. I prefer something with action and adventure or something in the health/science department
