Run, learn how to do and then do lots of correct push-up's (there is no such thing as girl push-up's), lots of sit-up's.
Learn good copeing skills too. You are the only one that will get you through boot camp. Learn how to deal with stressful situations one day at a time. Boot camp will not kill you at all, but you wouldn't be thinking that while you are there.
Good luck and just know it is way easier now than it used to be. Keep your mouth shut and your ears wide open. Then when you get to "A" school make sure you get orders to a ship. Believe everyone that shore duty does suck. YOu didn't choose the Navy so you could sit around with some sucky shore duty job where all you will end up doing is cleaning the head. Go to sea it is the greatest fun you will ever have in your life.

The Navy is not the Marines. Millions have gone through it and survived. You'll find the requirements on the Navy's web page...http://www.navy.mil/swf/index.asp
When I went through it about 55 years ago (DANG!!! Did they even have water that long ago?), it was a walk in the park compared to stuff I did later.
I understand that now, if you don't pass a part of their physical requirements they give you special training... don't know that for a fact, but when I went through, if you didn't pass a course, or a fitness requirement, you could get recycled... that is, take boot camp over again.
Sure, it helps to be in shape when you get there. But, really, if you're reasonably in shape, you should be able to make it. I held the hand (on line) of a mother who had a daughter at Great Lakes last month. She was worried about the same thing... And she made it through.
EDIT:
Pay attention to the post below mine... (Navy Sailro Gal) She seems to have been there and done that recently...
And give her "best answer" She knows.

like the guy above suggested working is the appropriate thank you to get into average shape. the different element no person says approximately boot camp is to examine. In military boot camp there is countless textual content textile to check with the intention to earnings seamanship skills. that is out of uninteresting NAVTRAMANs that are dry as heck. Boot camp is exceedingly exciting. subscribe to GI invoice or different academic reward for once you get out. start up making plans your profession on a similar time as you're nonetheless in and don't wait till the enlistment is very practically over you you will finally end up re-enlisting once you're waiting to go on.

I would do cardiac exercises, like running and doing stairs or something. In tryouts for soccer we had to run 4 miles a day, and sprints. Really work on your long distance running so you feel comfortable running. You can really impress someone if you can run hard and not be very tired out.
