I started dating a guy who's in the army. Things are moving pretty well for him and I. We've even thought about having me move in with him.
But he has to deploy in a few months for 18 months.
I just wanted to know either from personal experience or from sites that have information on this.
I simply want to know what there is to know about the army. No offense, but I don't really need to know about MOS and rankings or anything of that nature.
I would like to know basically if I decide to marry this guy the type of lifestlye I would have to get used to and such.
He's already signed up to continue being in the army until 2012. I wanted to know if I would be able to live with him on post.
Things of that nature.
If this makes sense to anybody out there, then please feel free to leave me comments. Anything at this time can help.
He's in the ARMY, and I just wanted to know some of the rules and regulations he or I have.
Things we wouldn't be allowed to do and such.
Thanks to all. :)

ok i want to become a commerical pilot and i was wondering which would be the best route to go, and i would also like to attend college.

If i applie to the Air Force can i become a pilot for them and attend a University adn get a degree in what I WANT? (also yes believe me i know it is hard to become a pilt for the AF)

Now if i join the Rotc, i heard that when i do join the Navy i become an automatic Officer, rank, now if i do go this way , can i fly jets for the navy? Even though i came in as an officer though Rotc? Now if i join join and do or do not become a pilot for them will i get a scholorship for collge? and get to major in a degree I WANT?

now the question is ARE THEY FULL scholorships? if i do get any, and how do you get them, I KNOW THERE IS A CATCH, bc they cant hand every person that joins a scholorship.....

I would sincerely appreciate it if you would take your time to answer this, it would mean alot to me, thanks.

I've been diagnosed with asthma, but my asthma does absolutly nothing unless I smoke.

I just want to join the military and not smoke, thus have no problems.

They won't be able to see that I have asthma unless they look at my medical records, are they going to do this?

Several years ago, a guy I was dating gave me an old patch off of his military uniform. Needless to say, the relationship was short lived and I have already had it much longer then I've needed or wanted to. He does not want it back so what is the proper way to dispose of it?

Thanks for your help!!

My husband has orders to move the whole family overseas, but I am scared to death to fly. (He is the service member, I am the wife.) How do I get a medical certificate that says I have a bona fide fear of flying? There has got to be a way the Army can put me on some kind of ship. I am having serious anxiety issues concerning this upcoming PCS move, and if I have to get on a place, I believe I will have a nervous breakdown. Help!

Can I get a medical certificate to get me out of flying? How?

Will the Army pay for a cruise instead of a flight, or do they have some kind of ship I can get on?

Is there a way to get out of the PCS move altogether & stay stateside?

Thanks for the info!

My Mom lived in a town called La Chapelle Gauthier in the Seine et Marne region of France during WWII. Around August 25 (her birthday) she was liberated by American troops. I'd like to know if anyone knows what units may have got through there. She has some memory of the day, but she never left the house. I'd like to learn any stories anyone has of that day in the town.

Well...anyone have any comments on this...I just love to hear peoples comments. :D. Free Press..a wonderful thing.

Well...the US military tested a 30,000 pound bomb in New Mexico last Spring , and , it was "completely effective".

The US Air Force also asked for 1.0 million or so so they can modify B2 bombers with Bomb racks that can hold the 30,000 pound beast.

For Iran..or no?
