On a base, you won't have to pay tax, so technically yeah.

Somedays it is cheaper somedays you can drive down the road and see it cheaper somewhere else! It just all depends, I know when we lived at Fort Leavenworth Ks last year we would drive off base and just across the bridge in MO the gas was always about 10 cents cheaper a gallon, then there was the occaional time when it was not.

Not always. I have seen better gas cheaper off base and I have seen comparable gas the same price.

Gas can end up being cheaper in the end if you live in a state that has taxes for everything such as Utah.

Gas prices at U.S. bases cannot be lower than six cents per gallon compared to the price at civilian stations within a four mile radius of the base. This is by Executive Order of President James Earl Carter III in his attempt to deal with the energy crisis during his administration.

At our last stateside base it was cheaper to go to town and buy it. We had a credit card with the gas station and they gave a 3c military discount AND a 5c discount for using their card.
As many have said... it all depends!!

You can usually purchase gas coupons from the military, These come t a reduced price per gallon. I am not sure if they are available in the states but my son in Germany gets an allotment (paid for) each month. This may be because of the US dollar vrs. the Euro.

Just like any other gas station, it depends.

And if it is lower this week, it may well not be next week.
