ok i want to become a commerical pilot and i was wondering which would be the best route to go, and i would also like to attend college.

If i applie to the Air Force can i become a pilot for them and attend a University adn get a degree in what I WANT? (also yes believe me i know it is hard to become a pilt for the AF)

Now if i join the Rotc, i heard that when i do join the Navy i become an automatic Officer, rank, now if i do go this way , can i fly jets for the navy? Even though i came in as an officer though Rotc? Now if i join join and do or do not become a pilot for them will i get a scholorship for collge? and get to major in a degree I WANT?

now the question is ARE THEY FULL scholorships? if i do get any, and how do you get them, I KNOW THERE IS A CATCH, bc they cant hand every person that joins a scholorship.....

I would sincerely appreciate it if you would take your time to answer this, it would mean alot to me, thanks.

You have to apply for ROTC scholarships , just like any other scholarships, they are competitively based.

Anyone is allowed to take the first two years of ROTC, you have to be approved to take the Advanced courses.

Then you will have to attend a ROTC summer camp before your junior year and will have a military commitment from that point on.

Most ROTC students aren't on scholorship.

Yes, you can take any major you want, while in ROTC.

But your major, plays a large role, in getting selected for Flight training.

The prefered majors are Engineering, Math or Physics.

All ROTC graduates are commissioned after graduation.

You have to apply for Flight School while In ROTC.

Again, Flight school selection is competitively based.

They look at your scores of the :

AFAST (Alternate Flight Aptitude Selection Test)
ASTB (Aviation Selection Test Battery)
AFOQT (Air Force Officer Qualifying Test)

Your GPA
Previous flight experience
Leadership ability

They don't give everyone who takes ROTC a scholorship, only a very few.

ROTC is the largest source of Commissioned Officers for each branch of the US Military.

Each service has its own webpage for ROTC.

Apply in the Air Force Academy and when you become a military pilot fly as many flights as you can to earn flying times. Then apply as a commercial pilot if you already gained enough flying times.

to be a pilot you need to join as an officer and to be an officer you need to have a degree...

look up AF pilot requirements online, there are a lot! Trust me, I looked for females.

good luck!
