Military - November 2007

I am 13 and in the 8th grade and love and respect anyone in the military. What do you think about the marines and army? Which would be better to join if i wanted to be infantry? Could you inform me more on the buddy deal? Thanks!!!

I was shooting last Saturday and was looking around for my brass before we left, while doing so I found what appears to me to be a 5.56x45mmNATO (.223). It doesn't have a brand stamped on it, or what it is. the only markings are "86", and on the other side of the primer "13". The primer is almost completely flush with the case and is crimped in. It is FMJ. I am just curious, where did this come from? Is it military surplus? I have rarely seen commercial ammo without the manufacturers name on it.

My husband abused me Domestic Violence then closed
up all accounts left me without a dime. Now someone told
me to file directly to VA for Spousal Support he is 100%
disabled,unemployable, perm disabled by VA so he gets
VA & SSDisability making over 3900.00 monthly plus
yearly uniform allowance of $600.00. So I recieve
SSDisability 975.00 a month and now does anyone
think I should bother writing the VA to impose monthly payment. I took care of this man I was sole driver in marriage,
all housework, giving his meds and 2 x a month shots. The VA
taught me how to do that it was painful for me to hurt him. He
said I gave the best/easiest shots but it hurt me to do it.
Anyway any thoughts would be helpful. Oh I was the main
parent to my husband's son. He is now 18 and his birth mom
still thanks me for raising her son she said she could not
have picked a better mom for her birth son. We talk weekly. I was married 12.5 years now separated.Husb. controlled my
life.

If the taliban knew there was no way of winning -would they fight or run?
Would the whole world dare to intervene over such an immoral trade in a way that meant our governments wouldn't have the riches from this evil trade and our children wouldn't have to live with the consequences of it continueing?
If you think not - can you list the reasons why the whole world isn't getting involved or at least the full might of nato and the UN?

If back a few years ago Bill Clinton said to the military and security agencies "make anything about my Affair with Monica Lewinski regarded as a state secret classified", Could they do it?

Why not? Didnt the affair hurt our country? Arent things that make the USA lose their credibility damaging to the country? So why wasnt it made classified top secret?

I have a friend who has a friend who is in the service over in Iraq. We want to send him a "Care Package" for Christmas but we're not sure what to put in it. We haven't gotten the serviceman's address (he just shipped out last week) yet but we want to send the package as soon as we can to make sure he gets it in time (once that he sends us his address). How far in advance will it be necessary for us to mail the package for him to get it by Christmas?
