Funny how he converted to Islam to avoid the war. I guess Islam doesn't like wars but mass killings and suicide bombing are OK.

Muhammad Ali WAS NEVER in the Vietnam War.

Muhammed Ali was not in the Vietnam War. He refused induction and went to prison. He was also stripped of his boxing titles for refusing induction. At the time his name was still Cassius Clay. Try a search with that name.

There is no website. Muhhamad Ali changed his name to that to avoid being drafted into the Army. He was not in any war because he converted to Islam.

Ali did not serve in vietnam.
He didn't dodge the draft as some say.
He refused to be drafted and paid the price.
Draft dodgers, were those like Clinton, Cheny, Edwards, Romney who did everything they could do, so not to be drafted.
And of course, those cowards who moved to Canada.
Ali atleast had the personal convictions to stand up for his beliefs.
And pay the price for them.
He didn't run, he didn't hide, and to me, thats what a draft dodger is.

He never served in Vietnam. He went to jail for refusing to submit to the draft. In addition he was stripped of his world heavyweight title.
He made the statement: "Why should a Black man be sent to fight a Yellow man for a White man . . . " Etc, etc. His point was he saw no reason to go to fight another minority when his own country denied him equality and justice. That was something worth fighting over. Not the stupid stuff Liberals throw out today.
