All pay is identical over all services. E1 thru E9, W1 thru W5 and O1 thru O10.

You can see the pay charts at any of the services websites.

Some services and jobs will have opportunities for additional duty pay -- sea duty, airborne duty, etc...

Here's a good site which shows the military pay scale. "O-1" is the lowest officer rank, which would be Ensign in the Navy and Second Lieutenant in the Army. The pay scale is the same regardless of branch of service.

Read across for the pay grade, then down to take into consideration time in service as well. EXAMPLE: An O-1 with less than 2 years service makes $2469.30/month. But an O-1 with over 2 years (but less than 3) makes $2569.80.

Hope this helps.

The Army doesn't have any Ensigns. The pay scale for all branches of the US military is the same.

Basic pay is the same, allowances differ. So an Ensign would get pay for being stuck on a ship 25/7, whereas a 2Lt. based in the US wouldn't.

All military paygrades get paid the same regardless of branch. The only difference may be in special pays between the two branches and any special pay a certain job field may have. Go to www.dfas.mil if you want to look at pay scales.

Pay for military officers is mandated by congress. It's the same for all branches of the service.

There are different benefits... i.e. Sea Pay for Navy Officers, Aviation Pay for pilots, Health Care Incentives for Doctors etc.

They are on the same pay scale. The only differences are Rank, time in service, and special assignments and duties, which pay more. (i.e. overseas duties, combat pay, danger pay)
