She means severence pay, geeh, give her a break.

And severence pay is also called involuntary separation pay.

If you voluntarly leave the military, you are not eligible for severence pay.

If his cancer cause him to be involuntarily separated, then you will be eligible for medical severence pay.

Which is two months base pay for each year of service, so in your case 14 months base pay, or $48,147.40.

But again, if you voluntarily separate, there is no severence pay.

Our friend is thinking of family separation pay which is different. If your husband gets out voluntarily, he will not receive any separation pay. If he is put out, depending on how he is put out, he may receive some separation pay....its not very much...most people get between $2500 and $5K. In the AF, we have a separations office that helps people process out and they have the regulations, charts etc. The Army should have something similar...I'd contact them ASAP so you can get an accurate assessment.

Usually, a warrant officer has a contract like a sub-contractor in the civilian world. Having said that, the stipulations in his contract will allow you to know what your entitlement is.
On a more serious note.....DOCUMENT everything regarding his skin cancer... He is entitled to become a disabled vet. This doesnt account for much, however, my kids get to go to school at any state college in Indiana because I have a 20% disability....File for it as soon as he gets out.

in the Army separation pay means extra pay for a service member who is separated from his family...

He might be entitled to some benefits if he goes to a med-board, but it's really hard to judge how much he might get.

not necessarily. Separation pay is usually only given when the servicemember is involuntarily separated. he might qualify for something based on the medical reason he is getting out, but if he accepts that he ,may forfeit continued medical care.

Sorry I had to be the barer of undesirable information yet you at the instant are not intitled to any element of his examine in any respect if divorce. ( your daughter notwithstanding gets toddler help and scientific for as long as he's interior the army or if he retires) in case you have been married for 10 + years you're entitled to element of his retirement. With being on a deliver his will pay could be greater effective than 500. If he's a 2nd classification you're able to be getting bah and bhq. ( houseing money!) My advice is that in case you prefer to artwork it out including your husband you're able to. and you're able to attempt to coach for army housing and this became your place cost would be paid by ability of the army ( that's not blanketed interior the examine anymore and he would be unable to spend it!) and in maximum circumstances the army will pay your electric powered and water. you're able to pay for telephone or cable what ever expenditures you opt for greater effective. you additionally can touch his commanding officer and he can get in a number of of hassle for not helping you and your daughter. they're going to likely set up an allotment right into a financial enterprise account. ( they're going to make him get help!) Being on a deliver as properly he could be getting sea pay that's an added 2-3 hundred a month. Plus if he's out to sea after 30 days he could get kin seperation pay. ( if any of this funds is direct deposited, my advice could be to with drawl all of it and placed it in an account on each and every 1st and fifteenth to ascertain you have what you're able to desire to pay expenses and guard your toddler.) don't be vicious and not bypass away him a cent. bypass away him 50-a hundred to consume on or do issues on an identical time as in port. that's annoying on them being on a deliver and faraway from their households. i know I fairly have been a army spouse for 8 years and that's tough. My husband has ignored merely approximately each and every thing of our 3 young toddlers lives. yet he looks after us no remember what. in case you opt for any advice please enable me know.
