I have been in the National Guard for five years and was recently diagnosed with ADD by a civilian doctor. I was prescribed Adderall XR and it has changed my life for the better in so many ways. I was unaware that the Army doesn't allow enlisted members to be on ADD medications until a few days ago. I am also facing an upcoming deployment in January. Will I be punished if I notify my chain of command that I have been diagnosed with ADD after my enlistment? Any guidance will be appreciated.

I posted this up before, but I feel that people didn't quite understand the reality of N. Koreas capabilities! Does this not scare you as a U.S. citizen?!?!

REPOST for more answers:
I basically got caught using drugs ( I know I was stupid) anyway I wound up getting Court-Martial and got bring time and a BCD.

Anyway the judge recommeneded that my discharge be suspended until my EAS. The Col basicly ignored that and gave me the boot.

A 1stSgt I was talking to said after 6 months if I am staying out of trouble I can contact a recruitor and come back.

Is this true is it possible to come back. I love the Corps and I will do anything to come back.

It's been a year now. As soon as I got out I opened up a Bar & Grill and we're doing pretty good. I'm making more money but It doesn't help. I want to be back with my guys.

I made a stupid mistake I know and I took my punishemnt but is there any way to get another chance?

Most imporantly to the Marines that read this I'm sorry for what I did.

I'm currently talking to a recruiter. I have 2 step daughters and a daughter that live with me, and a son that doesn't. My recruiter told me that I might have to sign up for army reserve and then try to change to active duty because of how many kids I have. Does that sound right to anyone? and if so... why? and yes I am married and my wife would be home with the children.. (thats why i stated that they were my step daughters)

My brothers room mate left his seabag in his room and we want to mail it to his mom. As you know it is a very large and heavy bag. What is the easiest way to go about shipping this item? We are not sure to leave everything in the bag and ship it, or take it out and ship it all in a box. I hate to take out his stuff since it is his personal items. Thanks.

This is not intended to offend, Im sure very many have usefull information, but recently I have got some answers that were total b.s, for instance... No GED, No Bonus.....they said thats how it was, but i now have personal expieriance to prove otherwise, and numerous other things on other peoples questions, that were, well, uninformed. My question is, do you guys think that people with irrelevant information, (man OR woman) should go around posting answers they dont really know, simply because they feel entitled to because there spouse is in the millitary? Not trying to be offensive, I have received numerous answers from guys and gals who are millitary spouses, that were very helpfull and informative, bu ten times as many from those who most certainly are not. Are these people know-nothing-know-it-alls, or is just a matter of person to person in the millitary, na dif so, should I just wait and see whats in store for me?

i wrote my feelings on how i felt about people who did not serve there country because i felt they were cowards, well i got responses on how bad my words were and other bs a coward would do as i guess a few cowards wifes have steped up to the plate to cover for there loved one. i liked the responses and expected what i got when i opened up this can of worms in defence for our fighting americans, some even thought there minds were to good to go to war and we needed them here, more BS!!and that they pay taxes, who needs your pennys such as they are. my whole point was to bring out how cowards would react and how they could try and explain their why's, but what it all comes down to is honor and pride!! and when a trader ,coward and one who runs to another country and craw's into a hole and wait till the storm is over is also a coward and when they look into the mirrow i wonder if they can still see that yellow stripe that runs down there very soul?
