The Air Force gives 5 points for enlisted promotions.
You do NOT get increased retired pay for a PH.
You can get hiring preference for federal civilian employment.

I am getting my entire education paid for.
I get free medical. I get a small pension (check) every month.
I get extra points for State exams.
Other than that, I got a swift kick from Clinton to get out of the Army.

If you have no other disabilities, a purple heart gives you a higher priority for VA benefits. See http://www.va.gov/healtheligibility/Library/pubs/EPG/

Well, if and when you have to go to a VA hospital, you're ahead on the list and before a person who doesn't have one.

Almost zilch, you can option to get a license plate for your vehicle that most can't have.
