REPOST for more answers:
I basically got caught using drugs ( I know I was stupid) anyway I wound up getting Court-Martial and got bring time and a BCD.

Anyway the judge recommeneded that my discharge be suspended until my EAS. The Col basicly ignored that and gave me the boot.

A 1stSgt I was talking to said after 6 months if I am staying out of trouble I can contact a recruitor and come back.

Is this true is it possible to come back. I love the Corps and I will do anything to come back.

It's been a year now. As soon as I got out I opened up a Bar & Grill and we're doing pretty good. I'm making more money but It doesn't help. I want to be back with my guys.

I made a stupid mistake I know and I took my punishemnt but is there any way to get another chance?

Most imporantly to the Marines that read this I'm sorry for what I did.

The only avenue open I know of is to apply for a discharge review. You can bring up new evidence, mitigating factors, challenge the actions of your commanding officer if he was bound by the SPCM results. Otherwise, only a reversal of the SPCM or pardon from the President can undo the verdict.

You might try and get your Senator or Congressman to intercede in your behalf, but the Corps is pretty iron fisted on things like this.

Apology accepted. If you cant go back, you still can always say that you were a US MARINE...that title only is voided with a dishonerable discharge.

You can make an application to the Board For Corrrection of Naval Records. The Corps is part of the Department of the Navy. But, you will need a ton of evidence to show how the convening authority erred in ignoring the recommendation of the court-martial. Right now you are considered to be non-enlistable and also you have a Federal felony record.
Glad to know your local, licensing authority gave you that license to open a saloon. Here in Nevada you wouldn't be able to get it.
