Someone told my husband we could request to leave a month in advance for our PCS to the U.K. since I am pregnant and will be around 7 months when we are due to leave, but we want to be there as soon as possible. Does anyone know how to request this or what papers need to be filled out?

Have your husband go to personnel and request either an early or a late PCS. He may have to get the post hospital to write a letter stating your condition as a factor for the changing of his arrival date. The military also has the right to say he is not pregnant and will arrive when he is supposed to. You may have to travel the UK after he arrives. This sounds cold, but the military believes he has to be their when you conceive but not when you deliver.

As long as you are traveling prior to 32 weeks, they probably won't do anything. The best you can do is to request a arrival date for the first week of the month he is to report.
Ex. RNLTD of 31 Jan.... request an arrival window of 1-6 Jan.

Also, remember that for the UK you have to have your passport and visa before you fly, and often you don't have a lot of leeway. We've had folks who are showing up without their families because the passport/visa didn't arrive in time, and family shows up 3 or 4 weeks later.

Good luck!!

Advance PCS of dependents are rare, especially OCONUS. Most often it is the other way around... the sponsor shows up on time and the family arrives later..after school ends, or the baby is old enough to travel.

reason being, until he checks into the command, you are NOT covered under SOFA, and are ineligible to use base facilities and services, including gett8ing onto the housing list. Nothing can happen until he checks into his command.

If your pregnancy is an issue, I would imagine your medical Drs could request it. In most cases (in the Navy) you couldn't PCS early due to the turn over time with your replacement.

He is allowed to take up to 45 days of leave prior to his rotation date plus he gets 5 days between travel and proceed time. His date can be on the first of the month he is scheduled from PCS transfer. All he needs to do is request it through his chain of command.

your scientific information are between the final issues you get..he must be waiting to get them while he comes back...you should call the housing place of work of the backside you will and ask once you may get on the record often six months earlier and what you will decide for paperwise to try this on the grounds that he's deployed...the different element you should do is only take a breathe..it rather is going to be performed...have your mail transferred some 2 weeks previously you progression..it may take a week to get it processed because of the fact its via computing device now...have a backyard sale and initiate doing away with any junk you have...we moved in jan..and characteristic moved many circumstances..in case you have any particular questions please be chuffed to e mail me...sturdy success
