I want to join the AFROTC while in college but I want to Know if they except finance or Business management majors. If I don't get the scholarship do they still help pay for college and how long do I have to stay with them after college. Also, if I get in when do I have to take the Physical Fitness test.

Go figure that one out. Before anyone says anything i am not a supporter of Castro or his Government. However it's real hypocritical for the American Government to have such a hatred against Castro's regime but yet had no problem supporting the previous Cuban Government that was corrupted & brutal to it's people. Just my 2 cents.

“Ofield, who heads SDSU’s Film and Television Department, captured the entire march as the veterans—some walking on crutches and braces, some pushing themselves in wheelchairs— encountered FBI agents, spectators, and counter-demonstrators from the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars who spat on them, accusing them of treason and of “losing the war.”

I'd be pretty ticked off too if my neighbor was at war and it killed some of my people within my country and it wasn't stopping. Doesn't Turkey have the right to protect itself?

Last I heard, the USA was struggling in Iraq. Why not let Turkey in and help us wipe out some terrorists?

He graduates on November 16 from the Navy basic training. I've read all of the rules about liberty time that he will be given after the graduation ceremony, and it says that he must stay in his uniform at all times, unless he's going to be swimming or doing other physical activities, at which time he must wear an issued sweatsuit. So, does this mean that he and I will not be able to enjoy our time in our own way? I'm just curious, and I'm sure he'll know by the time the time comes, but I'd like to know now. And unless you have a serious answer, please don't respond. Thanks.

I heard that the AirForce and possibly other branches of the military will be making regulations on Recruits about Tattoos like maximum sizes allowed, placement/visibility. Is this true?

In a few years I plan to join, probably the Air Force and I was wanting to know because I was planning to get a Tattoo sometime soon!

My Tattoo will probably be upper arm/ shoulder to where it cant be seen with a t-shirt on.

I plan for a large one on my upper back and maybe shoulders but that will be years and years from now.

Thanks!

I had it removed awhile back, but it left a tiny hole shaped scar on the back of my neck, I simply forgot to tell the DOCS at MEPS about it, but I gotta ee them again on my ship out day, should I tell them then, it wasnt a serious problem at all, just left a tiny scar, Im sorta sure it wont dq me, but I dont wanna get hit with fraud. What all do they do during the "mini-physical" before you ship out? (i.e blood pressure, hieght weight, duck walk and such) And is it true that you have to go through all of it again before basic?

my husband leaves for the marines boot camp on Nov. 5th. the recruiter said that my husband can get an allotment sent to me each month for his car payment and insurance. but kevin (my husband) says it goes into his account that he currently has at the bank he's always banked with. so since i have one of his cards i can just take out whatever i need and he shouldnt bother getting an allotment set up, right? i just want to know for sure if this is all correct, and that it will for sure go into his current account?

coming from ,to understand where I want to go, and the question:
I served in the Army, in the mid 1950's to early 1960's. I am EXTREMLY PROUD to have two (2) HONORABLE DISCHARGES !!!!
Now at 69+, I have been 'fighting' inoperable brain tumors for over 7 years. I DO NOT NEED, WANT, NOR DESIRE SYMPATHY !!!!!!!!!!
I have to return to the Houston, Texas V.A. Hospital, this next tuesday, for more M.R.I.'S and 'Cat' scans.
Like 99.99% of VETS, I support our HERO'S / TROUPES all the way.
Since the Iraqi's believe that bombing women, children, men, and our troupes are o.k., how about , at least one, of us who have been pronounced "terminal", "strap on a 'bomb' and give a bunch of the terrorists a dose of their own medicine ( rememner that none of us are perfect, we all have at least one sin, at death)
I am still able to 'power walk', at military cadence, one mile in the a.m., and another mile in the p.m.
NOW, THE Question: Am I wrong to feel this way?

and you don't plan on going into the miltitary (I can't get in because of being on medication). I went through the whole process at the MEPS center to enlist in the Marine Corps, but in the end got denied because of the kind of medication I was on. And I can't be off of it for a whole year, let alone a week, which would get me in. Thanks.

I know that there are many support groups for spouses of someone in the military and they are very close and don't always always girlfriends to join in. I have looked on line for groups for me to join since I am a girlfirend of an Airmen but have not been able to find one I may be using the wrong search terms. Are there any that you can recomend? I am asking for two reasons one is right now we are not in the same state and I do worry about him currently he is not deployed but I will be moving down to be with him, he is stationed at Vance and would like to be a part of one when he does deploy out next year and to get to know some people who honestly understand what I am going through. Right now we don't plan on getting married anytime soon but I love him and kinda feel its wrong not to be able to be included in a support group just because I don't have the paper saying we are married. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
