Are the items it sells on the website actually military spec , or above.

Would you trust your lives with their equipment?

What do you think the best items they sell are?

Personally, I think the USA should dismantle all of their nuclear weapons. We could set an example for all of the other nuclear armed countries in the world. I do not think we should spend $25billion to construct better nuclear weapons. What do nuclear weapons defend us from? I think they just annihilate societies and extinct animals unlike nonnuclear weapons.

I know you Paratroopers are airborne, but do you guys ever get helicopter training in division, or do you HAVE to go to air assault school for that?

And when I say air assault, I mean fast roping, not just hopping off the helo.

Also, does 82nd, 173rd or 101st learn to conduct raids and hostage rescue etc... like Marine MEU's do?

I am doing a research project at school about if

1) Americans feel apathetic about the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. If you're an American, does it interest you?
2) For people who don't think about it that much, why?
3) Do you have any close friends or relatives serving in either war?

Please focus only on the above rather than if you are opposed to the war or not. Also please do not rant about disliking Americans or our president, there are other forums for that. I chose this topic SIMPLY because it seems to me that rarely does anyone ever seem to talk about the wars in day to day conversation, even though it's all over the news.

I am at a boarding school with no internet access and have been able to stay with a friend on the last 2 Friday nights. Let's thank her and her family for this rather EXTREME generosity as I would have trouble researching my project without it.

Thank you and good day.

Can you just tell me the basics?
Like..what is it?
How long does it take?
What happens after?
Do you have to stay where ever it is?

My boyfriend is looking into it and it really wants to know how i feel about it...he wants to join the national guard or something so he can figure out what to do with his life.

I have to spend this year away from him because of school and I was wondering if he did this if it would take him away from me for a while?

The training site is 30 miles away from me...just FYI

GOOD MORNING BALTIMORE -- The father of a Marine killed in Iraq took the stand in his invasion of privacy suit against a fundamentalist church that pickets soldiers' funerals, saying protesters carrying signs at his son's burial made him sick to his stomach. Albert Snyder said Wednesday he had hoped for a private funeral for his son, Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder.
They turned this funeral into a media circus and they wanted to hurt my family," Snyder testified. "They wanted their message heard and they didn't care who they stepped over. My son should have been buried with dignity, not with a bunch of clowns outside.

Snyder is suing the Westboro Baptist church, whose members have picketed the funerals of military personnel killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, claiming the deaths are punishment for the country's tolerance of homosexuality. The York resident is seeking unspecified monetary damages in the case for invasion of privacy and intent to inflect emotional distress.

Federal government bans flag-folding recitations following one complaint

It is time for Christians to say enough is enough

Dear David,

In the latest attack on Christianity, the U.S. government has banned the flag-folding recitations at all 125 national cemeteries. The banning came as the result of one complaint! The situation is similar to that in which one person removed prayer from schools.

This article from The Associated Press explains the situation:

Complaints about religious content have led to a ban on flag-folding recitations by Veterans Administration employees and volunteers at all national cemeteries.

At thousands of military burials, VA volunteers have folded the American flag 13 times and recited the significance of each fold to survivors. The 11th fold glorifies "the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” The 12th glorifies "God the Father, the Son and Holy Ghost."

Citing a need for uniformity, the National Cemetery Administration has prohibited unpaid VA volunteers as well as employees from conducting the recital at all 125 national cemeteries.

American Legion attorney Rees Lloyd calls it "another attempt by secularist fanatics to cleanse any reference to God."

Following one complaint, the Veterans Administration has made anti-Christian bigotry the law of the land. The U.S. government has bowed to pressure from one radical anti-Christian secularist. Allowed to stand, the action by the Veterans Administration, in essence, means that anti-Christian bigotry is now the accepted and approved law of the land.
