It depends which country you are from. In Australia SAS stands for Special Air Service and is part of the Royal Australian Army. If you are in another country then SAS may stand for something else. To join the Australian SAS you must first enlist in the Australian Army preferably in an infantry role. After initial training you can then apply to join the SAS you have to then pass a series of testing measures to see whether or not you are suitable for an SAS postion. For more info you need to make an appointment with your local Defence recruiter so that you can first enlist in the regular army. Check out this website if you have more questions, there are defence families there who are always willing to answer your questions Http://ADFFamilies.informe.com

Of course you mean Special Air Services. To begin with you would have to enlist in one of the armed forces of several Commonwealth nations (United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand). From there you can make application for assignment to SAS.

I think you mean Special Reaction Team (SRT), they are part of the military police and basically do the same thing the SWAT does in the civilian world.

Hope that helps.

I don't know if this will help you, but my son was wondering the same thing and this is what we found out by our local Sheriff and he knew this because he served in the Marines. He said that you can call or go to your local recruiting offices and ask and they will tell you. There is something for the Marines where you can start training with the jogging and such. The Sheriff called it something and can not recall what it was. Your best bet would be to call.
