China has a Army numbering in the 10s of millions, compared to our force of about 1 million. Which really means nothing since China is incapable of equipping the majority of their Army, and worse yet even being able to deploy an effective force outside their borders. Their navy and airforce are in no way a match for ours, and their technology is lagging far behind.
A better question is why would we go to war with China? This is a bad idea for both countries resulting in total ruin. Along the lines of mutually assured destruction, but more in an economic sense. The US is completely dependent on the cheap goods imported from China, and China is completely dependent on the steady flow of US dollars. To go to war would destroy both countries economically. Won't happen any time soon.

No. The U.S. would destroy the Chinese Army in a week. With America holding the best navy and air force, the Chinese wouldn't even get past the pacific ocean. On top of that, NATO would be supporting the US.

All they have to do is nuke Iraq and Afghanistan. What military would we have left? We are stretched way to thin to even think of battling China at the moment. They actually have a military.

Let's see, they have nukes and missiles to deliver them and about 1 billion people in their army. Yup, they can overrun us and I doubt we could stop them. In the fifties there were cries of the "screaming yellow hoards" that would overrun us, since then their population has only grown larger. It would be a real slug fest but chances are strong that they could beat us if they were willing to throw everything into the battle. That is unless so many nukes are used that the whole Earth is destroyed, another strong possibility.
