What jrotc you take, has no bearing on receiving a ROTC scholorship.

Any jrotc will help, but other factors are more important.

Unless you are the cadet commander, thats counts alot.

I am so glad you asked! Of course you can receive ROTC scholarships. I think maybe your commander misunderstood your question. If you are a junior in HS, you are in the best position to start looking for scholarhips....if a senior, you are a little behind the power curve but not too late. If you are interested in AF ROTC in college, go to http://www.afrotc.com and look up scholarships. Our four year scholarship applications close out in December for HS seniors and its a bit of work to fill out, schedule an interview etc. Good luck to you.

depends on which ROTC unit you apply to. Yourstatus as a NJROTC cadet has no bearing an which ROTC scholarship you may be eligible for.. only what school you apply to and their ROTC units does.

BTW.. No Marine ROTC units.. you go Navy and request marine Option when contracting.

NJROTC means absolutely nothing unless you are enlisting.

For instance: I was in AFJROTC for 4 years in high school and ended up as a Navy officer now. JROTC does not carry over to college, any college.

It is nice to mention on a scholarship application, but grades are MUCH more important.

He is full of BS. I had classmates that I graduated with that was in the NJROTC, just like you, and that did received scholarships to both West Point and the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs BUT you need recommendations to attend these schools.
