i enlisted for 6 years and i've only done a lil over 2 years and i'll be getting a chapter on a family care plan. "involuntary seperation due to parenthood". due i have to pay my bonus back???

obviously i need to add some details because ppl seem to wanna be smart asses. i was married and my husband was abusing me so i finally got rid of him and now i cannot establish a family care plan. and for all that dont know a chapter 5(-8 i think) is called "involuntary seperation due to parenthood"

very possible since it was your responsibility to have a family Care plan in place and you chose not to get one.

Probably. It sounds like you're getting chaptered for not maintaining a family care plan (your responsibility) therefore it's your fault you cannot honor your commitment.

I may be wrong, but from the little info yo provided that's my read on it

i'm not sure, maybe you might want to ask s-1. but i don't understand, is it a enlistment bonus or re-enlistment. big difference.

p.s. sometimes things happen that are beyond your control. but you have learn to these lessons. things will slowly get better, you'll see.

I think you should. I don't see how you "involuntarily" become a parent. I can see how becoming a single parent might not be entirely your fault but how you can say it's not your fault that you don't have a family care plan in place?
