well, long story short, i made a mistake by joining the army and now i realize that i would rather be a marine. so i tell my recruiter this, he gets pissed, and then tells me that the paperwork is gonna take about 6-7 months at the fastest. i talked to a marine recruiter later that day and he tells me that its all bullshit. so, does any1 know if it really will take that long?

2,974 People died on 9-11
3,376 American Deaths so far in Iraq

So, Why are we pulling out the troops?
I Feel we need to get Bin Laden for the 9-11 terrorist attacks,
Now, I feel we should justify the deaths in Iraq. Those solders are just as important as the people that died on 9-11!!!!
I Feel We Are At War and we should act like it!

So, What is your option?

As a OIF Veteran I constantly ask myself this.

Now obviously if you are old, or have a disability then ok you can't go and fight.

But if you are young and able bodied, and believe we have to fight them over there so we don't fight them over here then why aren't you over there?

I talk to ALOT of young men and women that believe in this war whole heartedly, but when I ask if they would go and fight they tell me no.

I just don't get it. I don't really support the war but I fought it. So why do people that can do their part
(and I don't mean putting a support our troops magnet on the car)

But if they are able to help (and we need all the help we can get) and they are such voracious supporters of this war then why not give the help that is REALLY needed?

I really am curious

I'm a freshman at Middle Tennessee State University. My ultimate goal is to become a pilot. I talked to a Navy recruiter today and he said that I can finish my first year here at MTSU than go and spend a year training for the Navy. After that I would be able to come back to MTSU to finish my college degree. Is this true?

My name is Rudy, and I'm an immigrant from nicaragua. I came to this great country because my mother needed a kidnee transplant or she would die. This country took us in asking nothing in return. my mother had a second chance at life.I earned my citizenship and my mother as well. I'm currently 17 years old and a senior in high school. This country has given me more than any other could, Education, Health, and my mother's life. This is a debt I can never repay, but I seek to be as useful to this country as possible. At 15 i saw that telecommunications is a field that is always in demand in the military. I have taken INT courses at bloomfield college and I am also CCNA certified and im a district champion of Networking Concepts.I'm also varsity 119 for my HS wrestling team. Now the real question is, should i continue my education so i can serve this country with greater skill after college or should I join to serve immediately now that my country needs me

is a disturbing aspect of our soldiers life in active duty? Are you as disgusted as I am? I have been married to an US AF MGST. My deceased husband served two tours in Vietnam and Korea. I wonder how much disrespect our soldiers are receiving. I think it's down right un deserving and disrespect full. I feel they are under payed and deserve better to be able to provide for their families. What do you all think about this?

What would be the outcome?

I know the Chinese army is easily larger than ours, but they have this huge thing called the Pacific Ocean and the U.S. Navy in the way.

Baring nuclear weapons, with the objective of wiining the war is total domination of the opposite country, who would win?

The same with Pakistan and India

-Israel and her neighbors (basically the second 6 Day War).

And what would be the result of a Russian Invasion of Eastern Europe.

-What would be the result of South American all-out war between Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, and Peru vs. Brazil, both Guyana's, Suriname, and Columbia?

What would the U.S.A.'s role in these conflicts?

Just some thoughts I was wondering and a little mindcandy for military minds.

Remember no conflicts use nukes.

I was Active Duty for four years in the U.S. Navy and am trying to go back to reserves. The reserves does not have my rate, so I have to switch. In real life, I am develop as an IT professional (taking server and programming courses alike). I am trying to get an IT oriented job, but am colorblind. Is there a waiver for that? Are any CT jobs open to colorblind people in the reserve? I know CTR was a rate that didn't matter, what about CTN?

Any answers would be much appreciated.

Who else believes that this General and our Commander in Chief should be held in the highest regard despite your political beliefs? I most certainly do!!!!!!!!!!!! They are doing what is right and they know it . Why don't the people back our country in a time of war ? Forget the W M D 's that were never found they were used in the past with devastating results. Why do people fail to realise that FACT?

Yes, if some nation were to militarily control one of our oil fields or part of our land, then if all else fails, military action would be justified.
If for example, American bound oil shipments were attacked at sea, or even other nation shiping were systematically attacked at sea, military action may well be the final response, rightly. If some nation or group tries to attack our oil suppies at home, then military action would be warented because we like every other peoples in the world have a right to defend our nation and its vital interests in this case. None of these conditions were or are present in Iraq. The idea of naming someone elses resources as a vital interest and then using force to ultimately establish control by military force is an idea that is not different than idea and actions of Manifest Destiny. Manifest Destiny is a rejected justification for blundering. The US is not a criminal interprise! And the US is not a criminal government, but torture is torture!
