Who else believes that this General and our Commander in Chief should be held in the highest regard despite your political beliefs? I most certainly do!!!!!!!!!!!! They are doing what is right and they know it . Why don't the people back our country in a time of war ? Forget the W M D 's that were never found they were used in the past with devastating results. Why do people fail to realise that FACT?

I concur ! General Patraeus has been wrongfully discriminated against and the worst offenders are Hillary Clinton, The New York Times and Soros Socialistic, verging on a commie website; moveon.org
The Liberals do not look at the facts. They are discounting president Bush stating his approval rating is at 33%, but they won't tell you is the Democrat approval rating according to AP wire services is less than that! Go figure....

It is the worst kind of partisan politics when the Left tries to destroy Gen. Patraeus's reputation. Of course, the only thing that George Bush did was win the 2000 election. He could not be forgiven for doing that, why the Democrats stole that election fair and square!

I, for one of a great many, agree TOTALLY !!!! I do not even suggest that I know any of the secret information presented to the PRESIDENT or to the Generals, so as to direct their decisions. Have you noticed that for the sake of the national security of the USA, extremely few politicians are allowed to have any of the secret information ???? Ever wonder why this is so??
It is a shame what politicians will do or say, who they will sell out, how many innocents are caused to suffer, so those same politicians can glean votes and maintain their lobbyist contributions gatherings, opulent life style, at the expense of any and everyone !!!!! Unfortunately today, integrity is a word politicians do not understand, and could not exist in a group having integrity !!!

WMD were found; the missiles according to the UN's resolution as delivery systems are defined as 'Weapons of Mass Destruction'. Blister Agents that were used to kill Kurds in North Iraq were 'Weapons of Mass Destruction'. The Chemical Agents the Liberians surrendered to the UN 2 years ago was the North Korean shipment detoured from Iraq when the war broke out. The stock piles of weapons we were looking to find in Iraq is most likely in Syria today.

I appall your support for the troops and their commander; Support for the truth would be nice, however it seems to me a lot of our fellow countrymen find it easier to believe we're evil and trying to conquear the world instead of accepting the reality there are people out there plotting the destruction of our country and way of live.

Ummmm, you do realize that Arizona won the toss, right? Idiot. I don't get your edit either. You say it was rigged, then you say it doesn't matter who won it because you have to kick it to the other side? No you dont. The team that wins gets their choice. Arizona won, and they chose to defer because they would rather have the ball to start the 2nd half. Again, your question makes no sense.

The Democrats are demonstrating that we are about to go back to the 'bad old days' where senior officers were afraid to give their honest appraisals for fear of politically motivated retribution.

The facts have simply been twisted. Look at the GAO report, which is a watch dog organization, independent of political influence. It will tell you the truth about the stats of the war. The General on the other hand is influenced by his boss, The Commander and Chief of the Armed Forces (George Bush). So say he isn't is like saying that your boss' opinion or orders do not matter. So trust me when I say as a former member of the armed forces that Petreus is just following orders and is not telling the truth.

Contrary to popular belief, the US is not a military state. It is o.k. to disagree with power (some would even consider it a responsibility) as long as it is done in an appropriate manner.
