is a disturbing aspect of our soldiers life in active duty? Are you as disgusted as I am? I have been married to an US AF MGST. My deceased husband served two tours in Vietnam and Korea. I wonder how much disrespect our soldiers are receiving. I think it's down right un deserving and disrespect full. I feel they are under payed and deserve better to be able to provide for their families. What do you all think about this?

Charity you must not have understood me what I was trying to bring accross. What I meant is, all our soldiers are doing, to carry out their duties in war times, and not being really reeimbursed for their sacrefices that's what's bucking me. Cause, I think every one of them deserves more!

I, totally understand. I was there during '67 to '71. I have a lot of respect for the military. However, like Viet Nam, I don't understand why politicians feel it is their business to run war. They are not prepared for it, they have no idea what it is like in reality, they don't want to bother with it, yet they want to run it. I don't believe the military should be where they are now and I think it is a miscarriage of justice that the President is allowed to get away with this abuse of power. Not only should he be impeached for throwing the Constitution out, but he should be jailed for causing the murders of all of the military in Iraq, Afghanistan and anywhere else he has had troops sent. He is operating as a king and not as duly elected President of the United States, or maybe more like a Dictator, under the auspices of Dick, Jeb, Marvin and the moron he put in charge of Homeland (Nazi Party) Security. But this is just my humble opinion.

Its disrespecting to want them out of harms way??

Did you read the article yesterday where Congress stripped money from Bush budget for weapons development and put it towards raises for military personel?

BTW...I have a brother that is serving is Kuwait right now. I tried to join myself but could not pass the run. Just in case you want to say I am not talking of experience or was unwilling to put my life on the line for the country. I know many disagree, but I think the biggest support you can give our troops right now is to demand for them to be brought home.

I think its disgusting that otherwise normal Americans believe we live in a military state. Here's a clue - It's the job of Congress to question the Executive Branch. By the way . . . the military belongs to everyone . . . My father left private practice to serve in Vietnam . . . he was an ivy league educated cardiologist so don't talk to me about financial sacrifice.

My nephew and niece say that they get people that will walk up to them in Air ports and thank them for serving. So they are still getting good treatment. I really think there is a concerted effort to never ever return to the ill mannered horrors that were caused by the likes of John Kerry.
