How did America and Britain expect to create peace in Iraq when they have killed so many innocent people so blanently like they are animals even animals dont deserve to die like this.

I personally believe the Iraq war is a farce and i also think us (UK) and the americans should have got out when Saddam Hussein was captured. I also believe Curry is better then steak by a long way. My favourite is chicken tikka.

Bush-Cheney -Rumsfield-Wolfowitz etc-basically all neo-con Chickenhawks-have made all the major decisions-(except figuring out how to pay for this) Oh yea the Iraqi oil was gonna pay for this I forgot.....I know it just ticks (the extreme right)Repubs off...but this is your legacy....

the reason I'm asking is because i enlisted and I want to know opinions from different experiences that people have gone trough I've heard good experiences but so far nothing negative I want to hear both, I also know that until I go through it I won't know for real in how I feel but i want to hear from others, thanks for taking the time to give me your experiences even if they are good experience I want to hear them.

My husband went to the promotion board for E-5 and was recommended for promotion (Army, btw). Now we are trying to figure out what is next, what is happening, what's the process. He has signed the 33-55 and now we are just waiting to see what happens next. Anyone who actually knows and is not just guessing, please fill me in on the process.

he says he is apart of the 3rd battalion 8th marine regiment charlie company, but i can never find this specific battalion reg and co. 100 men held off 2,500 on 18 August 1966 at the Battle of Long Tan. D Company 6 Battalion Royal Australian Regiment encountered 2,500 NVA Regulars preparing to assault the newly lodged 1 Australian Task Force, a Brigade Group at the 1st Australian Task Force Base at Nui Dat, Phuc Tuy Province.

D 6RAR caught the enemy on a flank as they were forming up for the assault in a rubber plantation near the village of Long Tan. In the hours that followed the Australians fought of successive waves of NVA furious at being discovered and fanatical in their response.

1st Australian Task Force equipped all its Artillery and with 155mm artillery under command more than 3,500 rounds were fired in support. Small arms ammunition was almost gone until two RAAF Hueys pilots disobeyed orders and made a suicidal flight to resupply D 6RAR. As last light fell APCs from A and C Co. crashed into the enemies flank countering a four wave enemy assault, with .30 and .50 Brownings blazing. God Bless Diggers!

Hey, I have a degree (just graduated) and have not been able to find a job. The Officer Candidate School for the branch I was looking at (CG) is not reviewing people for a long time.

Would it be a mistake to enlist as regular enlisted? Would I be paid better having a degree at 24 than I would have without one enlisted at say 18?
