Yes. If you go through Air Force, Army, or Navy boot camp, you can switch near the end of your enlistment and go to the new service's boot camp. If you join the Marines, and want to switch, often the new service will "buy out" your contract and transfer you directly over. My buddy just switch to USN Corpsman after serving the Marines for 4 years. He re-upped another 8 year contract, but the navy "bought out" his last 4 years as a Marine.

Yes - it is very possible. If one serves in the Marines and ends his/her enlistment with an honorable discharge, he/she can go to almost any other branch of the military and join that branch. (The Air Force does not allow those with prior military service from other branches.) This can happen with other services too - one can be in the Army, be honorably discharged at the end of the enlistment, and join the Navy or Marine Corps.

Yes. I've worked with some Marines in the Army. But former Marines tend to hate the Army.

It's been done before, so yes. But you would have to enlist in the other service before you reach the 10 year mark. After 10 years in service you can't go to another other than the Army National Guard.

My son is now in the army, but has medical issues and is being discharged. They told him to wait 6 months and then enlist in the air force or navy. I guess these last two are not as strict when it comes to medical problems.

Not at the same time, I know plenty of Marines that joined the Army though.

You can as long as you were honorably discharged from the first service. However you cannot be a member of the Army and air force at the same time....

Yes. Once you complete your enlistment you can go join another service. The Airforce sometimes restricts prior-service from joining them, but most others allow it. I've work with quite a few former Marines and Navy.

Yes, When I was in boot camp. I knew someone that was in
the army, Air force, and then the Navy, and last. He said after
he gets out of the Navy, he is doing is last stent in the Marines
and then retiring.
The thing about joining each branch. He had to go to "basic"
each time. I don't know if it is that way though. <}:-})

Not at the same time, but before your enlistment ends you can start talking to a recruiter!
