I mean there is so much fuss about area 51 and aliens why dont we gather up about 20,000 people send flyers and add a date to it then meet up at the gate and storm in.

now two things might happend

1. we all get shot- if we did we would have enough reporters to cover the place and the rest of the american public would go chaotic.
2. we get in and see what really is in area 51- we have the right to know anyway. It's under the u.s. constitution

I am a former US ARMY soldier and if you come to take my guns i cannot be held accountable for my actions on you or the CLERGY they send to "calm" us.

You must understand that in order to have a truely free society the public must be able to defend itself againsed the government. If this right is taken away the government will be free to do whatever it wishes to the people... and that cannot be allowed.

Maybe it is naive, but after looking a sample viewings from Google Earth, I was wondering whether a better resolution image is available for our military intelligence, that is real time.

If so, then it would seem ideal that citizens who are veterns with family members in Iraq be given security clearance to pair up with military units to watch out for potential trouble.

There is also an analogy of Iraq terroist problems with crime in the US. Years ago in some cities the common practice to solve homicide cases was for the detective to find out who did it, and issue an arrest warrent. No one was given the actual task of hunting, seeking, and arresting the suspect. This allowed the same murderer to operate indefinitely. Reform of this flaw lowered murder rates.

If better 'Google Eyes' are available, that can help protect our troops, then we should not keep these tools away from qualafied American Citizens.

My husband is in Navy RTC (basic training) and He has been gone for over a month. He was supposed to get paid the first of this month, and I have been calling the bank everyday and no pay. He had to open a Navy Federal account when he got there, and that had nothing in it either. Saturday is the 15th and Im hoping for a paycheck finally. I have so many bills to pay and nothing is being paid. I dont work, and my husband is in the military forfree i guess? Does anyone know what could be going on. We only have one joint account and thats the blank chck he brought with him for direct deposit. Is there anything I can do or anyone to call? I am so worried, he has been there since the first week of august and has only called me twice. any advice?

Yes, your politicians and the corporations are making major cash on this. Yes, the war is for oil. (Which war hasn't been for resources or US interest?) But more deeply, we messed Iraq up, promising Iraqis liberation and a better way of life. (Again) Which of you - especially those of you who've been there - think abandoning them to a bloodbath is what right looks like? If our dead friends could speak, would they appreciate the political blather that uses their names as an excuse to further their careers, or would they want their deaths to back up the promise we made?

so many national guard troops , and the length of deployments and the fact that we had a known army as the enemy in iraq. we were told that wmd were there, and they were not, then it was to get sadaam out , and then al qaida. are the so called police actions more profitable and convenient? i hear from the right "we are at war" , however , our congress (the people) declare war . it is a war of choice , we went in when we want it , how we want it , and where we want it . i would like to know what percent of the foot soldiers ( the ones at danger) belong to what social class? any ivy league , politician's children , wealthy family? well, how many small companies have overprofited from this war? our sons daughters go in for an ideal , that sadly is for misguided intentions of power and wealth of a few . is george bush "ceasar"? he would send the legions to conquer when things did not look so good for him in the senate and rome . well, we should say "hail to ceasar , mr president" !
