I want to volunteer my time in some way to helping those who are/were/or are going to Iraq. How would I go about doing that? Where should I look? Who should I contact?

There are many organizations you could look to including the USO, the VA, the VFW and American Legion.

The USO supports active duty troops during travel and deployments.
The VA is in charge of caring for discharged soldiers needing medical care.
The VFW and American Legion are veteran's organizations that keep track of programs in your area and support soldiers rights politically.

Thank you for supporting our troops!

Call the armory's in your area and ask for the family support number. Family support should be able to help you, thats is who normally sends packages and takes care of all of that.

the USO would probably be your best bet. they run facilities in most major airports and in some cases, off site near major military installations.
