I'm a republican? Does that mean I can't oppose the war in Iraq?

I'm not asking if it's okay with YOU, I'm merely making it simplistic enough for those who can't possibly understand science in the womb proves human life. And that there's a DNA code that explains creation. Of course I did get a rather powerful answer to why I feel the way I do about men with big guns!

No it just means you are a great young red blooded American woman. God Bless you! And you can oppose the war in Iraq all you want. I oppose it the way it is being fought but everyone will tell you I am a crazy old fool.

Why do conservatives such as yourself see it fit to insult our beliefs so openly? There are many reasons why, and they actually make sense. Every heard of twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome? How about ectopic pregnancies? What if a family has a baby with Down Syndrome and has absolutely no means to take care of it whatsoever? Or what about a baby born to a rape victim? When that child asks one day, "Mommy, where's daddy?" What are they supposed to say? "No, baby, you don't have a daddy. You were only born because I was hurt, terrorized and traumatized. If things had been right, you wouldn't have been born." ? Just think before you say things like that. By the way, do you think it's easy for someone to just say they're going to get an abortion and do it? Well, it's not. I know people that have had to do it. It wasn't a choice. It was one of the hardest, if not THE hardest, thing they ever had to do. Don't act like everyone who gets an abortion is just some stupid whore that got knocked up. There are so many things that can happen, and lives can be made terrible and be turned upside down. It's not fair to a mother or child for that child to be born if it's not going to live a healthy life.

You're a Republican if you consider yourself one, or are a registered member of the Republican party.

Or you could be a republican like me - opposed to monarchies.

In fact, people from both spectrums are religious, are attracted to servicemen (or servicewomen) and are against abortion. Quite a few registered Republicans are anti-war, too. The average person belongs to no party and votes for a candidate based on his merits, not his party.

No it means you think and do for yourself.
You can oppose anything you want. It's your choice. If you believe in God that's your choice.
But understand that in some countries you don't get that choice to believe in it. You would have to carry that burden in your heart and never be able to put that on a message board.

Everyone has a right to what they believe in, no matter which "ticket" they are (Republican, Democrat, etc).
Stick to your beliefs and don't worry about what anyone thinks of you!
You and only you know your own mind! This is still a free country, God Bless America!

It means you have certain beliefs, but not that you belong to any party.

Of course you can oppose the war in Iraq.

Welcome fellow Independent.
Free thinkers are shunned by both parties.
In my opinion the far left of today's Dems get the prize for the attempt to stunt thought!
The evangelists on the right try but don't get close to true dedicated Socialists.

No.

But why ? Is terrorism acceptable to you ?

Are the lives of Iraqi people less important than ours here ?

We cannot always believe the media. They, have a clear agenda. We see it daily in the news and never hear of anything good over there... That, in itself, seems unusual and unrealistic.

I will NOT give in to the repeated pounding of, "quagmire, failure, effortless, troop fatalities, oil, ect." Terrorism is flat out wrong and will not be tolerated in today's society. Insurgents came there to fight the evil Americans as they are weak minded and will not last a prolonged fight. Sorry, I will not give up on freedom.

Nope. This is a free country. What people find disgusting is the manner in which many war protesters express their view.
