Some people think canada starts war too. Well, Canada has NEVER started a war, the only war they where major in where WW1, thats it, thats when WE (canada) created the united nations and the red cross. We where in Koria, World war 2 to the help the people. We are in afghan to HELP the people, I started this topic because i remember seeing someone say "canada starts wars too" What do you guys think on this matter

Your statement is technically correct - Canada has never been the first nation to openly declare war on another nation. Canada has been successfully living in peace since the end of the Second World War (1945), and Canada fought in Korea under a U.N. resolution (June 25, 1950). Currently there are approximately 2,500 Canadian soldiers serving in Afghanistan under NATO's (ISAF) command.
I have learned to dismiss the ignorant comments such as: "cowardly chickens," "They have the U.S. to protect them.", "Canada is too queer to fight." and "Where's Canada?" since they are made by people who have never once felt what it is like to be on the receiving end of Taliban (or any other) fire.
p.s. I have also learned to dismiss the thumbs down, they often come from the ignorant types like those who answered before me.

You are an ignorant fool. as a Canadian you should study our history better. WE were a MAJOR part of WW1 and WW2, you need to read up. and in KOREA thats how you spell it, we were again a MAJOR power there.
we might as well have started the war because we CHOSE to join the Americans in the invasion of Afghanistan.
you are under playing our involvement in peace keeping and peace making(war) on a global scale. we have one of the best trained armies in the world, and we have used it to great effect.
and not that i am a war mongerer, but i know my history, and Canada's involvement in global conflicts is allot more important than you are giving us credit for.
and the united states france..and i dont remember the other 3 are the countried that started the UN which is why they have Veto power. Canada only has a vote like the other countries

We have never "directly" started a war; we've only just joined the SIDE that declared war.
e.g. WW1, WW2, Britain beat us to the decleration of war by a few days.
Huh, and I seem to remember the United States being too much of a ***** to enter the world wars for "just causes."
They didn't care that Belgium was being trampled in WW1... (Which is why Canada and Britain declared war on the central powers)
They didn't care that the Jews were being massacred in WW2... (The invasion of Poland caused Britain and Canada to declare war on Germany)
No, in both instances they were attacked. Just fighting to save their own skin...
Oh, and by the way, Canada declared war on Japan to aid the US; not the other way around. They hadn't been attacked by the Japanese... Its called HELPING YOUR NEIGHBOUR. Something which, despite the friendly face, the United States rarely does.

I always thought you guys were part of WWII. Like you had a beach of your own on D day?Go study your history better. The Swiss started the red cross and you only got a vote on the UN. I would agree though Canada does not start wars.

Canada created the UN thats the biggest piece of BS Ive ever heard the US and Canada made it. The UN building is in the USA for godsakes why the hell would you create the UN and put its headquarters in another country!? And you can't even spell "Korea". And it does not matter if you start wars or not just being in them is just as bad its like saying "Why are you mad!? I didn't start the fight I punched a few people in it"

S. that an attack on Iran could in common terms be used as a final motel. there is one u . s . that has been itching to strike Iran and that they'll whilst they sense the time is robust. the comparable u . s . that unsuccessfully tried to sabotage Pakistan's nuclear weapons application for years.

yeah, but you guys don't get to were those giant foam rubber fingers telling the world "were number one, were number one, USA, USA. All you guys can do is spend your money to take care of the people that live in your country with socialize health care and whatnot, don't you want one of those giant foam rubber fingers?
