seven members of Congress with children in the Armed Forces"
including:

Sen. Tim Johnson, D-S.C
Rep. Ed Schrock, R-Va.,
Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C.,
Rep. John Kline, R-Minn.,
Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif.,
Rep. Todd Akin, R-Mo.,
From personal experience, Congressman Bill Young (Flordia) has 3 sons that have served in the United States Marine Corps. Two of them are currently serving and have been deployed to Iraq and are grunts (infantrymen).

About 8 have children in the military.
Most are to old to have children military aged.
The average age of a represenatitive is 57 years old, that would make their children in their mid thirties.
The average age of a senator, is 62 years old, that would make their children close to 40.
I have never seen any stats, on the number of congressmen who have had a child, that served in the military at some point.
Since with the age of the congressmen, if their child had served at age 18, that would have been back around 1990.
But since people don't seem to care if Congressmen served themselves or not.
11 congressmen who were veterans , lost reelection to non veteran candiates in 2006 alone.
Only one new veteran congressmen or senator was elected in 2006, James Webb.

Less then 1% of this country serves at all. 1.2 million in the military out of 300,000,000 in this country. So yes, not that many, only about 12. Thats about the same porpotion of of the US population in general, so its not suprising at all.

it truly is purely as gentle as handleing a vile of nytrogliseryne. seems different teenagers have given their existence for his or her united states of america, yet some polititions son or daughter has loop holes which may be axcessed if choose be.
