I'm a senior in high school and I don't plan on enlisting until I turn 18 b/c my family won't support me, but since I have all this time, I'd really like some advice on how to get into tip top shape.. I'm a little overweight w/ strong legs but virtually no upper body strength.. What are some tips about ANYTHING that can help me with building strength, endurance, and dropping the extra pounds.. Also if anyone knows the weight requirements for females, that'd be a big help also!!

I am a tanker and i was thinkin about reclassing to an MP. My buddy is an MP and he was telling me i would probably have to go to school in California or Missouri...so would i have to pay for the travel and then be reimbursed? or would it be taken care of right away? Also, how would i go about setting up the school? Any info you could give me would be outstanding, if you know of a website...that would be even better. Thanks

I and some friends would like to donate quilts to injured U.S. soldiers - but don't really have an inkling where to start. I don't know anyone in the military, and am curious, where do they go when the come home? Do they go to a hospital nearest their home town or how does that work?

Does anyone have any suggestions for how we may get these quilts to them?

Thank you so much! :)

Hi everyone!

A) Do VA hospitals have mostly veterans from this current war in Iraq or from Vietnam, WWII, etc.?

B) I have been told that it is possible to work in military hospitals overseas as a civilian. Is this true? (i.e. If I get a medical degree on my own, do an internship/residency/etc., could I be employed by the military as a civilian and work as a doctor in the country where there was presently a war going on [i.e. Iraq]?).

Thank you!

Vegas Odds in a 1 on 1 dogfight?

Strategey in Phantom?

Strategy in Mig-21?

I asked this question last week with the Mig-17 instead of the Mig-21. I knew the answer to that question. This one, I'm not so sure about.

I am not trying to take sides or be disrespectful, but;

1. No WMD's found

2. Saddam is gone

So whatever "threats" Bush said we have is eliminated and has been.

The only big problem left are the insurgents. The insurgents are only there because we are. There are bombings daily in the city, killing thousands and knocking out power and water throughout the country.

We basically control Iraq, so we have acess to the oil, so that isn't an issue any more.

Kind of a modern equivalent of the WW2 Lancaster or US B52? Do we still have large-payload bomber planes or has this role been completely taken over by fighter jets? Thanks!

Now that we have solid PROOF that the iranian government was indeed supplying weapons to Taliban in Afganistan, is it that far-fetched to think they are supplying weapons to the insurgents in iraq (what ppl have being saying for a long time now)

what if we found it it was, got them to stop (by either talks or force) and all of a sudden the violence in iraq stopped.....

because as i remember, there wern´t 100´s of sucide attacks and roadside bombs in the begininnng, only in the last couple of years.

so, what if we get iran to stop supplying weapons, training and insurgents and then all the violence.... just went away?

shouldn't we take all the gitmo prisoners and just shoot or hang them, then make it so the bodies are never found. I believe to beat the terrorist you have to give them a higher level of terror.

as i child during the 80s i remember that RAF fighters often overflew my house quite regularly at least a dozen times a week, now you see hardly any it certainly decreased during the 90s now your lucky to see an RAF lynx let alone a Tornado.

im curious as to the reason behind this decrease of either patrol or training flights, is it simply due to the end of the cold war? be interesting to know

I heard a story several years ago about a secretive ninjutsu school in Washington State. If I remember correctly apon gradguating from this school you are considered so dangerous, that you're forced by law to serve several years in the military. I don't remember where I heard this story. Maybe it was just some movie plot that I mistoke for real. Anyway, does this ring a bell with anyone? If this isn't real, don't you think that it shoud be? Thanks.
